After BfB's post, figured Mrs Brizzle and I should hop up to Tarragona for a beer (Moritz, Barcelona made it seems)...

Plus of course I dragged Mrs Brizzle out to the Nou Estadi Costa Daurada... The home of Gimnàstic de Tarragona. Shame there wasn't a game on.

I'm a lucky chap to have such an understanding wife.... If only I could fully convert her and get her to leave the dark side though... Sigh. :emoticon-0105-wink:

No fishing, but avoiding the corronation by moving sheep to fresh pasture.
Daughter cleaning up a few mucky back ends with the dagging shears.
Will get them sheared soon. Warm and damp weather is when they get maggots.

As this is "away from football", don't want to bore you but I assume anything goes (as well as fishing <laugh>)

Ordered something minor on Amazon on Tuesday for just £11.99 - cheapest I could find. It was on Prime so free delivery applied. No idea whereabouts the item was held at the time when I placed the order. Got the usual acknowledgement and projected delivery for this Saturday (today). Actually arrived last evening - great value and just the job.

Watched the progress on the tracking details provided and just can't understand how they can do this logistically free of charge - mind boggling.

Reckon they can do it free of charge because all this gear just hitches a ride with Masky's mass orders of Gary Madine DVD's and Sparkey's Peroni deliveries :emoticon-0138-think

Ordered a new fly-rod yesterday at 3 mins past one. Estimated delivery 2-6 days.
Got a text and email this morning saying it would be delivered between 11.31 and 12.31 TODAY.
As we were out moving sheep I arranged with a neighbour to have it delivered there.
9 mins to 12 got an email saying it had been delivered with a photo of it by the gate down the side of the house.<doh>
Great service apart for the last 10 yards.:steam:

Logistics is fascinating. Don't know how they do it.

It's all fixed cost operation..?.....sellers fees and chargeable delivery covers costs and yours is marginal.

Today, I have mostly been trying to stop my wife's pygmy goats from getting into my veggie plot.:emoticon-0183-swear

I assume your veggie plot is where you grow vegetables and not a plan to eliminate vegetarians <yikes>

    Hmmm, nice thought.:emoticon-0130-devil

It is vegetable growing, but I'm flexible.

It was post and railed, with stock netting and added chicken wire to keep the rabbits out about 8 years ago.
Last year a horse went through one bit and cows through a different bit. Patched it up and left it. Pygmy goats been in the paddock 4 months without issue. Yesterday they found a loose bit of stock netting they could push down and climb over.
    Propper fix today.
They are back and fore trying where they got in but can't.
If they get back in, option 2, curry.

If all else fails, get the Home Secretary to tighten up your borders.

So it's holiday season. Anyone going away during the summer? I'm probably off to Scotland for a few weeks. Loved it during the winter and now going to try it in the summer. Got my midge repellent ready.

Imagine! At my age I'm still tied to school holidays. My son will do two weeks life saving at Edersee (one of the ones attacked by the Dambusters), then probably some time in the UK followed by the final two weeks of August sailing on Lake Garda in various dinghies catamaran and boards......in my case more IN the lake if a board is involved. But I guess we will hit Venice for a day and take in an opera in the arena in Verona.
Might slide away somewhere with the missus while His Knibs is in Edersee.

We'll keep on 'playing' at our smallholding, though hopefully in T-shirt and shorts rather than multiple layers and waterproofs, which can be like being on hols.
A week in Rhayader when the Royal Welsh is on, along with me getting a few 2 or 3 day trips to the Scottish borders fishing.
    No change really.

Corfu for me. Going to the same hotel we stayed at last year. Don’t normally do this but it was excellent.
    Not until October though.
