The commonly held thought is that it is too early for Nick, and that is probably right. BUT, he will have massive support from everyone; players, staff, owners, press and fans. If we could persuade Nobby to come back and assist I think it could work.
Taylor sacked by Leicester, Brown sacked by Derby, Little sacked by West Brom, Pearson sacked by Southampton... Parkinson, Molby and Hately... all sacked by no one prior to coming to City... Different club, different rules.
I'd go with that, I don't think some of the Mclaren knockers realise his affinity with Hull either, he cares about the club, unlike our soon to be former manager- and he is a fantastic coach even if results as a manager havent gone his way for a while, could be just what we need
It was a daftly worded question in fairness, I just wondered who OLM was referring to and if it was inside knowledge. Obviously the 3 most senior members of the coaching team are gone so there isn't a lot left to speak to, and one of them is Barmby.
Barmby is a very good coach, however it remains to be seen whether he has the attributes to be a very good manager. Only time will tell. I wouldn't mind Barmby being given the job as long as he had an experienced, top-class assistant manager by his side.
thats bull ****. why employ barmby as manager if you've got "an experienced, top-class assistant manager by his side." sort of defeats the object,no? hes not ready just admit it.
I sort of agree with this, it does seem to defeat the object unless your aim is just to educate Barmby but the short-term prosperity of the club is probably more important.
I'm afraid I'm not going to name who I spoke to, but as has been mentioned, there's a limited amount of coaching staff left and it was one of them.
You know im no hull fan, but I wouldn't wish McClaren on you...my god... he is to football management what david icke is to reality... http://www.bing.com/videos/search?q...316BB05B270C345C7027316BB05B270C34&FORM=LKVR# without his brolly he is useless... don't go there.... by the way, ike is from coventry...say no more
Pearson will never achieve what McLaren has. He'll get nowhere near . Pearson is an above average Championship manager. He will never manage England and would struggle like **** in the PL. No more, no less. As time has passed the more I see the positives in Pearson going. You are welcome to him , there are far better options available and that does include McLaren .
