I’m putting a hedge bet on a double today. Arsenal and Manu. That’s the worst case if both win. Any other results and it’s a bonus for us.
The opposite is interesting, ie West Ham and Newcastle gets 7.55/1. Man U were bad against Brighton and West Ham are scrapping, could West Ham pull this off? Maybe.
But it needs to be a hedge bet. As if we win. That’s more or less half the points we need. If we lose then manu win. The winnings soften the blow.
Looking forward to today, hope we perform well and this will be a good yard stick, hopefully Arsenal continue to want to impersonate Tottenham and 20 minutes in we can all start the chants of "Chaos what's the score?" and "Are you watching Roy Munson"
If we get a draw today then we're almost there. If we don't get a point then we're still favourites for top four and it is nowhere near as nervy as Munse says he thinks. It's a tough fixture but I have a feeling we could beat them. They will be far more nervous about this fixture than we are and that could work in our favour. Just keep playing the way we have been and we should be fine.
Munse is just reflecting on the 90's. The expectation was what killed us. However there isn't anywhere near the same level of expectancy, and in the ground where it matters most, and where it can have an effect the most. Most are holding their nerve weather we're winning or losing. It feels different, there's a calmness in the ground these days in the main. There's always going to be a few that **** the bed too early.
Very rare day off today. I might even miss the start of the game as I'm taking the chance to play golf!
I honestly think we will win today. The atmosphere will be electric. The crap thing is it’s my daughters birthday so I am going to miss it.
