Refs been awful this game. So many tackles and let things gets heated. Easily could have booked a couple in first half instead let them get away with multiple poor tackles. Finally books one
Seems to be the new thing. In attempting to let the game flow, players are getting away with questionable tackles which is causing everyone to get annoyed, fans, players, coaches etc. Frankly the standard of officiating in the league has taken a massive dip this year, when it was already on a downward slope.
have some sympathy as they’re constantly changing what is/isn’t a foul. What is/isn’t handball but they don’t help themselves by not giving clear fouls when people don’t go down. Major issue is the inconsistency within the same game. As you say they attempt to let the game flow to a certain extent, but then a defender was just fall over under no contact in their own corner and it’s an instant foul.
Newcastle looking more like a normal Eddie Howe team now. They started season very solid defensively but bit weak going forward. as seasons gone on, think it’s now 1 clean sheet in last 17 games but are scoring some more. That is more like the Bournemouth teams that Howe was managing where they couldn’t defend for ****.
