1 Completely overhaul the youth set up. We need a production line of young talent.
2 Sign a centre forward or two.
3 Sign a centre midfield enforcer.
4 Bring Liam Cooper back into the squad.

    Any more.

I'd be surprised if this wasn't part of his remit. The Allams were really bigging up the prospects of an academy when they took over.

The Cooper issue, I'm split on. I want him back, no doubt. He's a talent - but I don't see him getting a chance to start, and while we're limited to five subs, I can't see him making the bench every week.

It's players like Cooper and Cullen who are the ones who suffer from the five subs rule. They have to go out on loan now to get any experience, because it's too much of a risk to put them in what would likely be your only defensive position on the bench. If we had seven subs, they would be on the bench, and in a game which was a fairly comfortable win or loss, we'd be able to bring them on and give them game time.

For me I think Cooper is better off where he is, and then we can use him come next August.

    I agree with points 1 and 2

Point 3: Mckenna has started to play alot better and fulfill that role somewhat. Evans can also play it to a degree.

4: Personally I think Cooper will get more benefit from spending the rest of the season in a good Huddersfield side. If he came back to us there'd be no promises he'd split up the Chester and Hobbs partnership

I think we could do with another playmaker, if Koren gets injured can Cairney step up to the plate and be consistent.

Its easy to say overhaul the youth system but I dont think you relise the cut backs the club is making and the centre of excellence is bearing the brunt.
We dont have any indoor training pitches and this winter will be training be on the worst astro turf in the city at the KC weather petmitting.
A big problem with football today is a manager might have 20 games to keep in a job they cant afford to think about the players they might get in 5 or 10 years.
If they had the choice of £1m for a striker or £1m to invest in the youth set up what do you think they would choose?
Billy Russell, Neil Mann and the youth coaches are doing a great job with what they have and deserve a lot of credit.

I dont see how you can defend our youth set up. Its been shocking for years. Evidence?? Lack of players coming in and staying in the first team.
Oh and change your user name, I cant stand looking at that c**** face. No offence to you tho.

I think Cooper's good enough to hang to and will benefit from his Udders loan(assuming he plays), but I'll be surprised if we ever see Cullen again.

Have you ever been to other accedemys or centre of excellence facilitys Hulls is one of the worst in our region.
    Scunny, Barnsley, Leeds,both Sheffield clubs
Doncaster and even Non league Lincoln have indoor or 3G pitches.
Its a big problem you can have the best coaches around but if you cant coach for 2-3 months of the season what can they do?
Im not saying the Its working Im saying they are working with one hand tied behind there back.

I am going to change my username
    Its even annoying me

We have midfielders coming out of our ears, Cairney and McKenna were doing fine before their injuries and if they hadn't got injured we'd never have seen Koren in the middle and Evans would still be on the bench. As it turns out we now know we have 4 good options to choose from who do a variety of jobs and we also have Harper and Oli to fall back on, you couldn't ask for much more.

Cooper needs game time, he's been injured for a while at Huddersfield and suffered from injuries in the last couple of years before he went there. If he can get the rest of the season under his belt, especially in a top Huddersfield side, he'll be in a great position to come into our squad next year and solve the defensive depth concerns we have.

Centre forwards, I think we all agree on that. I'd be happy enough with the ones we have if they could start to finish more than 1 in 10 good chances. That's what's so fruatrating, they link up well and work hard but just can't shoot!

New manager just needs to keep things going as they are, no need for upheaval.
