It's all a bit dull, really. He doesn't have to complete a quest line where he collects 12 rutabagas and then defeats a green dragon, or undo some sort of temporal rift that threatens this world and several adjacent dimensions. There's no watery tart throwing a sword at him. They just look at a 23andme chart and then say "well, I guess you're next".

3/10 at least make him fight a minotaur or something for the sake of appearance.

She is a skate MP, she is a Tory, things I detest, but for once in my life, I admired the contribution by Penny Maudant, an impressive performance.

ITV1. Nina Nannar with the crowd 'legging it' (As Tom Bradbury said) to Buck Pal. Comedy gold. It is a bit like Annika Rice and treasure hunt days!

The Royals are out doing a lap of honour in front of their adoring fans. Goal scoring hero Charlie Windsor puts the trophy on his head as he skips down The Mall to the music of The Royal Grenadier Guards.

Studio announcer; Just before Charlie went out to celebrate with the fans (a sea of red, white and blue) we managed to grab a quick interview.
Interviewer; Charlie, you are now King Charles III of Britain and Northern Ireland. Tell me, how does that feel?
King; Well, er, yeah definitely, this is the moment I've dreamed about since I was a young boy growing up in Buckingham Palace. It feels like it's destiny to be here now with the crown.
Interviewer; That's great Charlie tell us what you remember about scoring the winner.
King; Well, er yeah definitely, one is over the moon to have scored, but it's not just about me. A win for The Royals was the most important thing, I had a great team behind me who gave me (a) great service. If my mum was alive to see me today, she would have been as proud as punch.
Interviewer; But Charlie if she was alive today you wouldn't have been here.
King; Well, er, yeah definitely. You know what I mean.
Interviewer; Tell us how you felt the game went.
King; Well, er, yeah definitely. Apart from a spell when that ginger bloke in the crowd kept calling out obscenities we controlled it from start to finish.
Interviewer; Thanks for talking to us Charlie, we'll let you get back to the celebrations.

Interviewer; We've just managed to get hold of the leader of the losing team, Oliver "Chilcs" Cromwell. Chilcs, thanks for joining us, you must be very disappointed with today's result. Do you think you're team of protesters were affected by the occasion?
    "Chilcs"; **** off.
Interviewer; Well yes, but how do you feel about how this big event went for your team?
"Chilcs"; Obviously we're all gutted, but for some outrageous decisions from the Archbishop we would have got something from that. I haven't seen the replay yet but I'm expecting an apology from the PGMOL.
Interviewer; I expect your time will come sometime in the future, thanks for joining us.
    "Chilcs"; **** off.

Interviewer; OK, back to the studio.

    Off with his head!

Remarkable that straight after a winter where people literally haven't been able to heat their homes or feed themselves adequately that we can chuck away millions on a ceremony for the royal nonces.

Indoctrination starts early. Children at school are encouraged to celebrate the monarchy without being exposed to alternative views.

Most of them probably voted Tory, who just tell us ‘we’ all need to get used to being poorer.

But the Sheeple will look past that as it's such a historic and memorable day stood in the pissing rain waving a flag like a grade A bellend. Worth every penny!

Thank QE2 for lasting so long and saving us a lot of money. I somehow think the income from the Coronation and its tourist impact will offset a lot of the debt to the nation.

You seem to be mixing things up, the Royal Family are not responsible for the ills of the World, they may be fortunate to be more priviledged than many, it goes with the job. Would you do it?

I am getting old, it's my 2nd Coronation I was 6 years old for the first one. With many of my family and friends popping their clogs at an alarming rate, and the Saints going down the dunny, I needed something to cheer me up and it has. You are free to hold your opinions about the Monarchy but I am entitled to my own, it will never change.

You misunderstand me. Those foolish people who stand in the rain to watch Charlies vanity parade probably voted for a party who has made life worse for them. Brexit is a perfect example, people don’t know what’s good for them.

And don’t call it a job, it isn’t. Yes I would do it, I would do away with the pomp and ceremony and live comparatively frugally compared to UK royals.

Sorry you feel that way, it's no different than getting soaking wet watching the Saints blow another game. The way people vote is their business, you show a great deal of disrespect for them and everything else it seems. Being a Monarch is certainly a job and one that demands the whole of your life restricted to protocol, you don't actually get chance to change anything no matter what you believe in. It is basically a TV Soap opera but for real. What has Brexit got to do with the Monarchy? Most of us know it was a mistake, sadly too many believed the lies about it and voted for it, being a democracy, the majority won. No going back.
As for Pomp and Ceremony there is nothing like it for raising spirits and nobody does it better, despite the cost. God Save the King, long may he reign I say.

What you were basically saying is it’s ok that millions is being spent, in spite of the cost of living crisis, because people have come out to watch it. That doesn’t justify it at all, I used the voting of conservatives and for brexit as an analogy. People have voted for something which has made the country worse off, so to say “people have come out to watch it, therefore we can’t complain about how morally wrong it is” is a pretty weak argument.
