He's been declared officially useless season after season ... ... then picked by every manager season after season. It's almost as if the managers know better than us
RTB mate these threads make this place. Love reading them. Your team will do for me. Pritchard may be in somewhere I suspect, experienced head somewhere. Possibly Gelhardt to miss out. I am convinced we have at least 2 more after this. But if I am wrong, what a bloody season these lads and the coaches have given us. I look back on the season as a whole and have loved us, plus a brilliant world cup and a cracking premier league season. Will miss footy this summer, normally ready for some downtime. Like others would be delighted to see Gooch make a difference. But if I have my way would love to see Dan Neil produce a worldy. Not really his game goals, but what a feeling he would get, and all of us, if the lad who grew up on the stands got us over the line. He deserves a big slice of the credit goalscorers get, ever present this year and has been a constant 100% lad. Not the only one, but I do love watching him play, and you can see his love for us on the pitch.
What about this scenario for a heart attack.....95th minute.....2 - 2 and corner to the lads......Patto comes up and heads one in for the winner. If this was to happen please note this was my last post but you are all invited to my funeral you could put on my headstone "for once in his life he was right then dropped dead".....HTL!!!!
Great thread RTB thank you it really is a pleasure and something to look forward to every week. I can’t wait for this one knowing that whatever happens it’s been a fantastic season watching the lads. I’m off to the match with my son my grandson where we will meet up with absolutely loads of friends hoping to cheer the lads to victory. It has the potential to be one of those atmospheres from away games of old as scores from other games filter through. I to think this will go to the final minutes of our game . Whatever happens the lads have done us and themselves proud. I don’t think this will be your last match day thread of the season RTB. Good luck finding a new job. Keep the faith lads and lasses.
Yes likewise looking forward to catching up. Going by train for a change. Might even have a pint or two
@RTB, would like to say thank you for all your match day threads throughout the season. . Just 3 more, then a well earned rest. Come what may, we've had a cracking season....these young lads have done us proud beyond belief. The football has been breathtaking at times, the never say die attitude....they just don't give up. I'm going for a 2 - 1 win, with geldhart to score. Off to windermere tomorrow afternoon after the Mrs dialysis, and back Monday about 1.00pm ish. If anyone travelling down sees a motorhome with a red and white scarf along the dashboard, heading up the M6 or along the A66 going in the opposite direction.....that will be me. Safe journey to all those going down, hope you all have a cracking day out. Sing your hearts out me Bonny Lads.
Hope you get sorted soon mate. It's not easy to know when to stay and when to go for sure and you do probably need a bit of luck as well cos you never know for sure until you get stuck in I guess. All the best mate, you seem a good lad
Couldn't have put it better myself. Apart from the massive amount of injuries, everything has been positive this season. The players have been unbelievable and thank feck Neil left to be replaced by a manager who knows how to get a tune out of young players. I'd love us to win on Monday and get into the play offs, but if we don't then I'll look forward to next season with an optimism I haven't had for a long long time. Thank You RTB for providing us with hours of joy reading these beautifully constructed threads.
Not that am feeling confident or owt like that but does ya season tkt just get activated for the home play off game?
Right pub wise none the ground demolished long since, plenty in the town centre plus a couple of WMC pictured below, on the way down from the Motorway there is the Black Bull about a mile down across the road on the other side of the lights is the Crafty Beggars Ale House, not sure what time this opens and if you go futher down the A6 passed teh ground there is the Moor Brook please log in to view this image
They always say thanks for the great support. Would be a nice gesture off the club to give us one free home cup or play off game.
