Good job that there are a surplus of doctors in the NHS, with the government refusing to fly 24 of them back from Sudan. https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-65420882
Now they've banned slow walking. That's me stuck at home for the foreseeable future then... https://www.gov.uk/government/news/government-acts-to-stop-highly-disruptive-slow-walking-tactics
It doesn't appear to say how slow is slow. My slow is still too fast to Mme. Radar speed traps for pedestrians? I had to walk in the road because there were a lot of people about, and I was going slowly because I had just left Tesco with a heavy load, seems fair enough. Not sure about the leaving the pub after a session would go down so well. There were so many police officers blocking the road, no one could go any faster. There must be many reasons to plead not guilty.
Liz Truss and the 'Bathrobegate' scandal. Seems to think she can walk off with anything without paying. https://archive.is/aLHle
Keir Starmer proving that he's in the wrong party? During the leadership tussle he had with Corbyn, he pledged that he would remove University tuition fees - it seems that he's now reneging on that pledge. https://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/en...htBp8cpLB7zXQODnHcIfC6c6jBjzTjzcAIb3gO4gy4ID0

I am sure that there will be sorrow tonight as SH tries to come to grips that he now has a LibDem council.
There's only one. Excommunicado. Expunged. Deleted. At own request, apparently. Probably maintaining a watching brief...
Regardless of what anyone thinks about protestors, this heavy-handed action against them by the police is surely way over the top. This current UK government is doing little more than bulldozing its way through peoples' rights & intent on heading for a fascist state. https://threadreaderapp.com/thread/1655199737471959041.html
It is quite chilling to see what is going on. I have read that the maximum sentence for peaceful protest is now twice the maximum sentence for grievous bodily harm. That's how authoritarian Britain has become. French news reported it as the sort of thing you could expect to see in Moscow.
Americans at war with each other again - twice in the same town in the space of 24 Hours. I dare say the NRA will be busy making press releases justifying the right to bear arms. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/ar...las-gunman-opens-fire-onboard-DART-train.html
