I have a yearly subscription for Ifollow. I was disappointed to find out that if a game in televised in your area then its not shown on Ifollow. Someone said that if you use a VPN so that your IP address shows a country where its not televised then you can get Ifollow. However its been my experience that if you use a VPN then you cannot even log in never mind get a stream. Has this been others experience.
No, but it might depend which VPN you’re using. I don’t have any problems (although have in the past) - but suggest you try a computer rather than tablet or TV if you are struggling. That said, I’m often genuinely abroad. Express VPN works for me.
Normally don’t have a problem with NORD VPN. When I had a problem previously I paused VPN, logged out of ifollow then logged back in again and turned VPN back on. Don’t know if that will work with yours but might be worth a try.
I am using my computer and I am using Express VPN. And no matter what I do when uisng the VPN it will not let me log in. But I will try Cityzens approach which is to log in without the VPN and then engage the VPN and see if that works. Thanks
Does the 3pm kickoff blackout affect Monday’s games like they do Saturdays or can I legally buy the game on iFollow?
I have to say the £140 for the season I paid has been very good value for money. I have watched every game both home and away bar one when I has an issue with the internet but watched that full game a day or two later.
I just dont understand why there isnt an above board and legal way to simply pay £10 and watch any game you like via ifollow. They have the cameras and commentators there anyway, either for ifollow or certainly for local radio etc, so why not offer a pay as you go service for fans who cant get to the game, be it home or away?
You'd end up with empty grounds. Sure, some fans will always want to be there but many would just prefer to pay a tenner than whatever it costs at the gate.
If I lived in or near Hull I would still go to the matches though I go to the South East matches even if they are on iFollow but I'm sure a lot wouldnt bother
That's not true though and you've been able to stream pretty much every one of our games for the last 5 years or so now. Watching the game on TV is ****e compared to actually being there
I disagree. Away games maybe but who in their right mind would pay £10 when it works out only a bit more to actually go to the game? There is nothing to compare to live football. If they do then they're probably not the type of fan the club needs. I dont know anyone that would rather watch on tv with a can of Skol than go to the MKM and drink a bottle of warm p***. And, the club will still be making money out of it. This should be seen as an additional income stream not an alternative. Im more inclined to think it is illegal streams that are preventing it as people would look to avoid paying the tenner.
Yeah, I agree. I wouldn’t cancel my pass just to sit home and watch the games on my laptop or phone. I think my pass is great value for money and being at the ground is far better than watching on tv. But for 15:00 away games on Saturday, I would appreciate a legal means to watch the games whilst still giving the club money. It seems iFollow has developed some anti-VPN software recently as I can’t even log into my account to buy a video pass if my VPN is turned on.
I think your way but there must be many people who dont there wont be empty stadiums but there could well be a few thousand less
The 'few thousand' less who choose to watch it on tv instead of live can soon be punished when we get to the Premier League and showing years of loyalty means you get priorty on away tickets and you have your memberships to ensure your seat is there for every game. Loyalty schemes are becoming big business. The harsh reality is if you want to sit in your kegs week in week out watching City for £10 on a laptop dont come crying to the club when you cant get in when we're even more massive than we are now.
