Renfield And absolutely off it's head gorefest. Nick Cage brings all his massive talent and a large dollop of insanity camping it up as Count Dracula. Nicholas Hoult does slightly less insanity as his familiar Renfield. Won't be to everyone's taste and the plot does get a bit silly but it's laugh out loud funny. Mrs Luv might find the violence a wee bit over the top but it fits right in with the rest of the movie. It's OTT on steroids. Loved it! 8/10

Weirdly and ill probs get rinsed for this take but the closest thing to horror films for me recently have been the purge movies. Maybe its cos i dont think murica is that far away from that **** perhaps
I'm not a horror fan at all but one I liked was called REC. There was a follow up but don't bother, the first is quality though. Spanish with some subtitles.
Don’t quite hit the spot anymore do they? never really been into gore…only went to watch this one because my son wanted to go and he convinced me it’s not like the others I didn’t really believe him but I just did my Dad bit I guess
yeah these 2 were not bad…the best in modern day horror imo That’s not saying much I know but saying enough I reckon
