It's not a dreadful challenge, but it's definitely a pen.

In fairness we have seen hundreds of pens more marginal than that.

the fulham lads even knew it and were just trying it on to maybe get him to review it in hope.

it's another case of the punishment not fitting the crime as we discussed last week. Nunez is running away from goal and at very best is going to recycle out to the wing or back to midfield. Its not a goal scoring or chance creating position and its only issue is it's one side of a white line not the other.

Nice to see us finally getting some penalties in the last few games. Klopp said he and Salah had a discussion about keeping him on penalties and mentioned that we went 27 games without one and while they are taken in training, you can't replicate the game atmosphere in training.

Yeah, it's soft in the sense that Nunez is not presenting any immediate goal threat. But it is a foul, and it's in the penalty area, and them's the rules.

    100%.

Its not like a dangling leg was tailed out as he flopped over.

he's nicked it and thats that.

You cant question his commitment but hes limited as a player, and now hes on the wrong side of 30 we need to be looking to replace him now and use him sparingly as we go on.

I really dont want to see a 36yr old hendo playing for us in a few seasons, the neglect of the midfield has been disastrous and i hope weve learned that lesson and address it with gusto this summer tbh.

In a few seasons he’ll only be 32/33. So unlikely to see a 36 year old Hendo play in a couple seasons.
