"Illegal" is a stretch, but fans who choose to buy a Season Card and choose not to go down the digital route can purchase a physical card for a tenner

Hmmm I dont think it is if the only option given heads down a route that is not legal, its not a great look if nothing else

However if purchasing a card is an option then there is an option, cheers I hadnt realised this was confirmed

I'm not changing the dob on the bairns Google account and I won't be paying a tenner for a physical card for him either. Treating people differently and putting them at a financial disadvantage purely because of their age is discrimination.

****wit Davison needs peddling asap, bloke is a ****ing clown and clearly hasnt done his homework here.

He can't get the product he has paid for on his phone due to his age. What else would you call it?

I'd call it a problem that can be solved if people are willing to be pragmatic and just find a way.

You mean pay an extra tenner that wasn't mentioned when the product was sold? His ticket was sold at 48 quid.

Not "48 quid if he had an apple phone and had the app, otherwise its 58 quid if he has an android phone"

I didn't see a little asterix next to the price to say there were 2 different costs depending on the operating system of his phone. At best it's false advertising at worst discrimination.

His phone has nfc but I'm not putting his wider Internet security at risk by putting a false dob on his account.

You have got a point reference discrimination tbf, as clear groups (young) are being treat differently, yes a parent could load the SC on their phone, but that doesnt assist U16s attending alone which I presume is allowed

It's a basic lack of research by the non football side of the club imo. Not thought through enough for the various scenarios of different supporters, but its not surprising tbh.

Imagine if they brought it in for the Pink gig as a trial and u16s couldn't get into the SoL to watch the gig? (Obviously just the ones with Android phones that is)

As far as I am aware the £10 fee is only charged if you have to visit the Ticket office, which is still a disgrace, Steve Davison is doing an amazing job :)

We still have posters on here blowing smoke up his hoop :) :)

Seems to me that some technicalities of the digital card are still to be worked out (especially assigning it to others). If the digital card isn’t going to work for you and/or your family email
[email protected] and wait to be contacted back is the advice.

Our ticketing is being dragged into the present but card options are still offered to those who can’t use it so surely this is ok ?

This all day long. Club need to keep the old u16 cards active and provide new ones free for our first time future supporters.

This seems like another PR disaster from the club

    Dragged into the present :)
They havnt communicated exactly what will happen if you dont have a workable phone and have just left people hanging.

A simple statement explaining what would happen if you didnt have a phone would have resolved it, they still havnt done that but have sold season tickets without people being informed what the options are, just an utter **** show, but we should have expected this as everything off the field is a shambles. Ticket office, Club shop, shirts (do we have a new one?) and now this digital present day technology. Wait for the shambles first home game of the season, its inevitable. How about having a pre season friendly to test out the new entry system? No, just tell supporters to turn up early. Could you imagine any other business working like this?

No-one is forcing anyone to buy a Season Card. If you choose to buy one, there are Terms & Conditions as there are with everything. There are ways and means round every problem like this. Unfortunately we have changed from a society that rolls its' sleeves up and gets things done to a society that has this awful stench of entitlement and complains at the slightest thing. (not aiming that last part at you, just the general reaction to digital season cards)

My son is u16 and had a SC for 3 years, auto renewed for next season. I'm not going to break the parental controls on his android to load his SC. Therefore I'm hoping the club will offer him the use of his existing SC or provide new card free of charge. What's your thoughts as the club seem a bit slow with the information

I've used this one in the past....

    https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.attidomobile.passwallet

But it's only ever been for QR and Barcodes not using the NFC technology that the season cards will be needing. Again, no idea if the main Apple and Google 'wallet' apps are the only ones that can be used; the club haven't mentioned any other options for apps as far as I can see.
