I can see both Bisc and Z's points about whether it's a good move for Bellingham. I would say it's a good move but is it the right move at this point in his career? Getting to the pinnacle at 19 years old? There's no doubt he would back himself to get to Real at some point. Where does he go from there to keep his career on an upward trajectory? So many questions. Time will tell.
Don’t quite get that. If Madrid is the pinnacle, why does he then have to go anywhere? could spend 10 years at Madrid, win load of trophies then head somewhere else at 30
sorry but you don't delay getting to any pinnacle. either good enough or not and go for it. he wins a few things or goes the way of delle alli. its entirely up to him and his attitude to it. learn Spanish ASAP. integrate properly (not like bale) cosey up to media and fans. work really hard. there's no place for thst lad to go from dortmund but to a big club to win things.
See what you mean. My thinking may be a bit disjointed. He's spoken a lot about wanting to play in the premier league and in my mind that would be in about 5 years. Depends how things go at Real. English players haven't been so good abroad apart from maybe Beckham. There are a lot of egos to fit in.
You've changed your tune and you were completely wrong about where he would go and why assuming it is Real.
I've not changed any tune. I've said many times he would.never play for us. it's not my fault the Todd has ruined cheslea so badly he can't have another shiny bauble. but you never know he might try.
He's no 1, no 2 and no 3 choice CM, no 2 choice RB and no 3 on our LB list. In fact he's listed everywhere
Bellingham was always a pipe dream….shame as he’s a top quality player imo but hopefully we’ve distracted others enough to unearth some cheaper gems that will flourish under klopp. This summer is quickly becoming an an acid teat of the structure of our club. Let’s hope we pass with flying colours!
if we took the risk at 17 for 30mil we would look like hero's but we did not and dortmund were his choice anyway. same as Brighton taking risks on various players. in the end we have bet on Elliott, bajcetic and others so need to have some patience to get them right.
The one thing we could have 'guaranteed' Jude was playing time. He would have come straight into the midfield and played most games. I'm pretty sure Jude would have joined us but my guess is that we simply can't afford him.
I don’t agree that m afraid. We had a CL and League winning team, he would not have walked into our midfield in their prime. Now, maybe but at 17 he was still not developed. anyway, all is moot now

Assuming he joined this summer, he would have walked into our midfield. And I'd argue even last year, he was a shoe in for the RCM role.
