I hope that both of them will stay, but perhaps Watford should have made these offers a little earlier - especially in the case of Harry Amass. He may already have been seduced by the glamour of the two top Premier League clubs who have shown an interest in signing him.
Nice to see that Shaq Forde will be back soon and may possibly link up with the first team next year. I'd say that the club are now banking on a few of the youth players stepping up - and saving on transfer fees.

Can someone explain why Matheus Martins has played so little for Wattord? He has made 6 appearances (with a total of 357 minutes) and his last appearance (as a substitute away at Burnley) was on 14th February. Some people on the WFC forums wrote him off as being no good after a couple of games, but he is still only 19 years old and he is having to adapt to a new country and to a different style of football. This week he was ranked as the 18th best U-20 player in the world by CIES Football Observatory and the top player in his position (left wing). https://www.football-observatory.com/ He has been away with the Brazil U-20 squad. Brazil were losing 0-1 at half-time, but he scored the equalizer (a penalty) against Uzbekistan U-20 before Brazil went on to win 4-1. He came on as a substitute in the second half against Iraq U-20 and provided the assist for Kevin to score Brazil's equalizer. There was a possibility that he might have stayed at Watford next season, but I doubt that he will now want to stay after being given so few opportunities to play.
I think the only ones who could properly explain that are the coaches who have not been picking him - it's totally beyond me. We do seem to have a history of doing that - as well as one of bringing in substandard players and insisting on playing them. Mystifying.
Bilic seemed to use him but not Wilder - maybe the latter read everyone writing Martins off ?! Personally thought he did well and it’s not like we have been better without Martins in the squad . Another waste of a loan . Daddy Pozzo won’t be happy .
