That's one of the things i like about Sam,a good old fashioned manager, who wouldn't take the bullshit that some of these slackers (BTF Fan here) are offering, i think the players would listen and respect him or they had better look out, as room for only one Boss behind that dressing room door. and sam will make that quite clear immediately. So expect an immediate upturn in performances if not results, as to late for that i'm afraid.
And our players look ****ed, not really had the chance to rotate properly, plus a few 'big' players are well off-form.
I hope you're right, but it wouldn't surprise me to watch our season collapse into a pile of ****. Regarding Allardyce, you'll get the type of football you expect from a 'dinosaur' a lot of the time, but he likes a tricky player too, and every now and again you'll play like Barcelona, I remember West Ham doing it, and I remember his last Bolton side coming to UP and playing us off the pitch. I lament he left us when he did, Allardyce would've done better with the squad Bilic had.
I heard that Andrea Radrizzani is chasing Javi Gracia around Thorp Arch, after asking him for a little chat.... What could go wrong?
Afternoon all Will someone give me a shake and wake me up from this **** show. Sam Allardyce FFS, how did we go from Bielsa to this. What a ****ed up season, we beat Liverpool at Anfield, we beat Chelsea 3-0 and end the season with Allardyce in charge. I thought I was going to come on here today and see 10 pages of furious fans reaction, it just shows how low it’s become when some seem happy over the appointment. Orta finally gone, too little too late but very welcomed. The guy I work with is a WBA fan, he was pissing himself about the appointment, he didn’t see it that WBA were hopeless when Sam joined, he said Sam ruined them I’d resigned myself to relegation anyway, I just didn’t expect us to stoop as low as Sam
Spot on, it is just another panic appointment if it happens IMO. We might as well get the lad back in again who was caretaker manager.
He's not daft though Shako, he's got us by the balls. I reckon he'll either insist on a contract for next season or an absolutely massive pay-off if he keeps us up. Either way he's quids in.
I hope it's just talk. Even Pep couldn't save us with four games to go. I personally think the players are shot(should be shot) and they have given up. Hope they prove me wrong, but my only hope is that the teams below us keep losing.
Absolutely spot on. Nobody could get this bunch of players performing. We are so reliant on others failing it is painful.
To be honest Shako, that's exactly what I said to a Palace supporting mate of mine after they'd thumped us 5-1. Trouble is the teams below us still play each other a few times (last night's game for example) so some of them have to pick up points even if they are as ****ing useless as us. We probably need to pick up at least a win or two drawers to have any chance of staying up.
Actually, as there's only three teams left below us the only fixture between those clubs left is Forest v Southampton. So IF Southampton win that and then Everton and Forest lose all their remaining games then it's actually possible that we could stay up with no more points. God help us !!
Agreed. Although I just can't see where we'll get the points. Maybe draws against Newcastle, W. Ham and Spurs. The worry is if we go down early on in the games coming up, will the players drop their heads and give up. The city game is a big worry though.
