Completely forgot to post up the Japanese curry t'other week. They are bloody tasty. Eating quite a lot of them at the moment. Onions and carrots sweated down, add chicken stock and simmer the potatoes till they're 80% done before adding apple chunks. I disapprove of apple in food usually, but this is excellent and I'm told, traditional - it works. Add curry paste and spices then thicken for 10 mins till all veg to your liking. If I've time / materials to hand I'll do panko coated chicken breast to top, but spiced and air fried thighs go well too. Only had breast goujons to hand this time (you make do with what you can from the scav rack), but you get the idea - stir fried them separately and added at the end. Both kids (3 and 9) love it - presumably the little sweetness the apple gives it goes a long way.
Was nice. Bit of protein below in the beans and chickpeas. Not eaten anything else today and I’m not ravenous but will get a BLT or something in a minute to eat on my walk.
Your pan wasn't hot enough so you didn't get the colour/flavour on the steak, also looks like some seasoning is needed. The inside looks spot on btw.
