Changing the name is the right thing to do and is what most other PL clubs will be doing in the future. Good bit of forward thinking for the future of the club and wont make much difference because well all still be calling it st. James park anyways...

In a strange way. I agree with this. Lets face it, in the next 5 years or so. Most clubs will probably do something along the lines of what we've done. After all, football is a business. And where there is money to be made, club owners will do just about anything to get it. So, I suppose we should be glad we've taken the first stride. Im rather positive it will make some top dollar too. However, what doesnt give me confidence, is Mike's history of actually pumping all his profits back into the club. But hey, weve done blindingly well so far this year, without much investment.

Yes, it may now be called the Sports Direct Arena. But, too us the fans, it IS and ALWAYS will be St. James Park. Thats all that counts, surely??
