So how many do you think we need to bring in and get rid of? Personally i think only 2 or 3 quality additions are needed, that would be on top of signing Hirst on a permanent basis if possible. I certainly wouldn't look at wholesale changes, the team spirit is quality at the moment and you wouldn't wanna ruin that, although i would get rid of Harness, i think he struggled in league 1.
I wouldn't keep any of our players that are out on loan either and i'm guessing Keogh and Aluko will be released too.
Very interesting times ahead, what a joy it is to be a blue!!

I think the immediate priorities are to sign Luongo to a long-term deal beyond this summer and to also hopefully sign Hirst on a permanent - although I think that will largely hinge on whether Leicester stay up.

Beyond those two moves, there is a list of first team players that only have a year left on their contract. I'm not sure if the club has additional one year options on some of those contracts - hopefully we do - but if not, then then we'll need to think about who we want to secure on long-term deals from the below (I've bolded the names I think are particularly key):
    • Walton
    • Wolfenden
    • Burgess
    • Leigh
    • Donacien
    • Evans
    • Camara
    • Edwards
    • Morsy
    • Chaplin
    • Jackson
In terms of outgoings, I'd probably let Keogh, Vincent-Young, and Aluko walk at the end of their contracts (although I'd be tempted to give Aluko one year in the Championship). From the list above, I'd see what we could get for Jackson, who I don't think is Championship standard at all, and we haven't exactly seen much of Camara.

Signing wise, I'd like us to bring in a centre-back (who can push for first team football), cover at right back (if KVY is released and Donacien doesn't get offered a new deal), and better depth in the attacking areas.

I agree Spanish,no major changes are required.I've every faith KMc/Ashton and their team have a few targets in mind who will add to the squad and help us push on from here.

What a time to be a Town fan!

I would like our strategy to be 2 or 3 first team signings and one or two ‘ones for the future’ per window.

I think we definitely keep Donacien. I’d let either Evans or Ball go, we don’t need both of them, probably Aluko, KVY, Harper and Pigott. Harness, Edwards and Jackson are probably surplus to requirements in the long run but might still do a job for us until we strengthen in those areas. I think we have enough defenders, wing backs and central midfielders. I’d be looking to sign wingers and strikers only.

I agree with most comments, key is that we have a fantastic squad, club spirit and no need to upset that with major changes. Donacien, KVY Jackson & Edwards I would keep for time being. I also want to give Aluko a run in the Championship.

And of course tie up agreements with Hirst & Luongo. Oh, lets not forget Kierans contract. I think he can stay too!

We need to strike that delicate balance between rewarding the squad that got us here with a chance to play in the championship, and recognising it will be a step up.

Fully trust in the recruitment process, I'm sure we can improve in all areas if we found the right players but we don't want to "do a Nottingham Forest".

Basic strategy has surely got to be, tie down the 1st 11, start upgrading the backup.

Probably not. I’m sure there are good players in there but nobody we’ve faced has really stood out as better than our side.

In reality I think our every single member of that 1st team 11 at the moment is Championship quality, so for me it's about tieing down Luongo and trying to sign Hirst. If we don't manage to get Hirst even though Ladapo has scored alot of goals this season I'd say a striker would be a priority, we just don't look so fluid with Ladapo uptop.

After that in all honesty even our second team I think most Champ team would like those kind of back up players, they're all decent players and I'd say would probably finish in the playoffs in league 1 this season. For me it more about squad management, keeping people happy and fresh, making sure players aren't content being second fiddle but at the same time not rocking the boat.

If push comes to shove with Edmunsons injury problems and likelihood of Keogh retiring I would imagine CB would be a priority but also depends on whether McKenna wants to keep a slim squad with some of the youngsters as back up. We also have Ball, Donacien and Clarke to can play there if needs be.

Maybe we could add another CM in addition to Luongo but that would mean moving some on and I'd like to think El Mizouni might get a look in.

Up top I'd say out of those 4 positions only Ladapo and Edwards have really positively influenced games this season. So competition for Chaplin and Burns could be needed. Although saying all that I don't think Aluko, Humphreys, Harness and even Jackson are bad players just may be not people if we get injuries we'd want to rely on at Championship level but then again they've never really had a run in the team so can be hard to find rythym. And this is not forgetting all those players we also have out on loan

Long and short is if we have the same squad as we have now next season I think we'll do well.

Don’t think we need CM if we sign Luongo as we’ll have Morsy, Luongo, Ball, Camara, Evans and Humphries (although I think he might go out on loan) definitely a striker whether it’s Hirst or if Leicester won’t sell, someone else as I don’t think Ladapo is good enough for the championship -would love to be proved wrong on this. Other than that, a centre back and cover for Burns at right wing / right wing back would be the areas I would look at. There is such a togetherness with this squad that I certainly wouldn’t want to change too much. Looking forward to a nice relaxing summer

I think we may be in for a few surprises to be honest, we may splash the cash and bring in a few premier league players. We stepped up in the class of player we brought in this season and i think this is the way we will go again next season, i wouldn't mind betting we bring in a few players for 4 or 5 million each!!

So far we’ve done the opposite of everything Evans did, so why not? How about raiding the three relegated sides? Ward-Prowse anyone?
