And makes you think, why would we want to get promoted and, along with the other 16 teams, help prop up these 3 teams? Because without the other 17 teams the arabs would be left with nothing but 3 white elephants. We'd be basically endorsing them. Man City have been accused of cheating on a grand scale for best part of a decade but the rest of the Premier League clubs are obliged to continue to turn up and get whopped off them every week. ****ing stinks.
Players like Ekwah, Benette and Lihadji promotion is too soon for us, we need an extra year to grow stronger because they will be loaned out and replaced if we gain promotion. Half of me thinks feck it, if the opportunity is there lets take it make nearly 100m from Sky tv and just give it our best. The other half of me is saying stay patient, let our new players develop abit more and lets do it properly next season. Unfortunately promotion is not a given next year though........
Aye, if anything is gonna put a spanner in boros promotion bid it would be the prospect of having to play us in the playoffs at some point. They rather play anybody but us, we would rather play anybody but them.
Me too, i have the feeling theyd rather us not tobe in the mix. The fact Millwall and Blackburn could potentially be in the Prem is an embarrassment. Both are bang average teams, without our injuries wed be a certainty to go up
Boro are picking up injuries at the wrong time to key players. If we can manage to to do it, i have no worries about any of the playoff teams
In truth I'd love us to go up as Champions with all guns blazing ... ... scraping up as sixth team isn't quite the same. Go up playing great football, with full houses, and we'll attract more like Ballard Ekwah, Hume, etc.
If we're going to succeed we have to earn it without the Boro's help, if I was them I'd prefer to take a chance on facing Millwall than us.
TBH if we were in Coventry's shoes people would be saying Boro can relax so will be more dangerous. They may play fringe players like McNair who'll want to be in the playoffs ... ... besides it only takes an idiotic referee to throw up a daft result. Whatever happens the last day will be exciting and that's what it's all about.
