The player who booted Shaw in the head yesterday wasn't sent off and i don't think it was even a yellow Absolutely no consistency on this type of incident though normally max penalty is yellow
The real problem is the woeful standard of refereeing in the PL

Yeah, I considered that risk. We can't have a situation where managers can influence which refs they get.
On the other hand, if there is bad blood between Klopp and Tierney, no good can come of that. Tierney would have to be a supreme professional to not let the animosity colour his future decision-making, and atm there is no trust that he has that degree of professional disinterest.
The FA or the PL (I don't know who does what any more) should have an investigation into this and force the release of the recording, so that everyone can hear exactly what was said.
It's not enough to claim Tierney's integrity, they have to prove it.

At the same time. It would really discredit klopp and everyone - lfc fans included - will then know that klopp either misunderstood is just making **** up. Surely it’s a win win for pgmol

If it was a genuine misunderstanding then that's ok, he can apologise. If he was maliciously making **** up then he would deserve to be punished.
I'm not really talking about taking sides here, I'd rather know the truth - and ultimately that is to the benefit of everyone involved in the game.

There's a bloody easy way to defuse this ****.

Tierney should actually admit that he only faux supports Wigan and has been to man utd as a supporter far more.

He has got away with that dodge long enough and I won't hear a word of defending a liars integrity without tapes backing up the rubbish.

When Moyes(then at Everton) had a rant about Clattenburg not sending Carragher off, Clattenburg had a 5 year holiday from refereeing Everton. There is a precedent.

I've not seen anything from Klopp to suggest that he would make something up and I'm inclined to believe that what was said must have been inappropriate. He's very good when he doesn't understand colloquialisms or an English phrase in general, about asking for clarification or interpretation. I think he would have said something along the lines of - I'm not sure if I heard correctly what Tierney said but if it's what I think then it's unacceptable. He was very firm that it was unacceptable.

He admitted straight away about the foolishness of running in the direction he chose to celebrate and has imo, always held his hands up to these things including berating the linesman a few months ago.

I admit to being extremely biased in his favour over any referee. At this point with the elbow on Robertson going unpunished and now closing ranks with what was said or not said, the PGMOL has lost any and all integrity that it still may have had.

Funny thing is. All the people moaning about it will be the same people that couldn’t give a **** about the coronation and will be enjoying bank holiday doing their own thing

Celtic sang anti-royal family songs, definitely worse than not singing the national anthem but you're right, it'll be Liverpool in the news

gallagher makes absolutely no mention of haaland, or other similar incidents this week.

sky show Jota foul on the ref watch and claim jota is very very lucky.

    despicable apologist for pgmol.

sky then fail to show the assault on diaz and gallagher claims skipp got the ball and its just two players coming together.

apparently it only looks worse in slow mo... but no mention of playing jota one back at full speed.

Thing is this isn’t actually a Liverpool thing
I have said since his early days that Taylor is the worst ref I have ever seen
Tierney is right there with him
When both managers are cross like they were something must have generally gone wrong.

demoting him a league a two down seems wrong

if I made those kind of mistakes in my job I would be out the door

One small aside there is a narrative out there that there aren’t enough people wanting to be refs out there

it’s utter garbage - there may be issues in cities and there is definitely an issue with parents in grassroots - however there are literally hundreds of people trying to start their journey off reffing and the FA is not putting on sufficient volumes of courses. The LFA have stated there is no interest to all clubs in the three leagues I am involved in.

    the standard could be higher
Someone. Somewhere has an agenda on this imho

Thing is, that's actually more endangering than the boy to the head. There was no force or power behind the high boot, that challenge by Skipp could have very easily snapped the leg.

of course, it's ridiculous to claim he won't the ball when patently he didn't.

to actually think you can tell a bare faced.lie as a "pundit" when in fact you srr merely the pgmol mouthpiece on hire to sky is ridiculous.

i really hope next time the TV deal come up sky loses the lot.
