What does everyone think about our fans at Bounemouth singing the above ? For me I'm not happy as 1200 fans do not represent the worldwide support that the club has but yet it's that small number which have now changed the relationship between the team and the fanbase. Plus there's still 4 very important games to go so why throw the towel in now ?
If a player showed total disregard for the club fine, sing and aim that at one person but singing it to the team in general is a bit harsh. Maybe the players should have taken their shirts off and threw them into the crowd and cheered a few up. I'm not happy it was sung, I understand why it was though and I am not happy with the players response. The players could have walked up to the line of fans, asked them to calm down and they could have spoken to them, just a simple "we are sorry, we are hurting as much as you, we know you deserve better" the players could have built bridges, nothing like a face to face apology and accepting the blame to calm an angry man down
Having read Heidi’s article about an eighteen and a half round trip by bus I’d say those 1200 fans have every right to make their feelings known. They only have four more opportunities to make their feelings known as those players will be elsewhere
Maybe the traveling fans have seen the players throw the towel in and are doing it themselves There's probably not one football club in the world that haven't been slagged off by their fans at some point in their history The fans love the club a lot more than the players do and will be still there long after those players have gone
I really hope this isn't from the players. It is flat, emotionless. Reads like something knocked up by someone in admin.
You’d hardly expect the players to turn up at thorp arch on their day off to sit around a table and compose that
Hopefully the players apologise to admin, having to type that up from home on a bank holiday is not acceptable.
Have you polled the others as to what they think over the perceived slight by the one's who attended the match ?.... that'll be a no won't it so why make out that they where out of order to vent their spleen at the absolute shyte served up, but hey let's stick up for the overpaid poor darlings who might be possibly upset at the criticism.... I can think of a few places where they would be on the recieving end of a lot worse than that
Javi said he won't shout at the players. He wants to remain calm. The captain doesn't seem to want to shout at the others. Throw in any of the Bielsa players. They should all be gripping the others by the shirt and demanding more. The coaches seem indifferent to what's happening. The directors are very quiet. Maybe it's time the fans kicked some arse and demanded more from the squad of players. If the players have any kind of bollocks then they should respond in a positive way by actually admitting to themselves that they can run harder, make better decisions, put the team before themselves etc etc. My gut feeling is that @Jammy 07 will be proven right and it will just be used as another excuse for us to go down without a fight. It's easier that way for them. Gutless losers. When the going gets tough, Leeds give up. Someone's got to tell them that it's not acceptable at this club and won't go unchallenged. It's actually embarrassing that it's the fans that have to tell them. It should come from within.
And my opinion was the fans have every right no matter what....they ARE the club no one else, personally I think it's unfair to label these fans as being 'disrespectful' because they voiced their opinion.... after all are they fit to wear the shirt....
So do you still want me to poll the worldwide fan base or is debating it on here enough for you ? Cellino would probably have made sure those fans don't get tickets in future but that's probably a different discussion.
Cellino was a fruit cake enough said.....start your poll with those getting off coaches after watching that and tell them that, hopefully they will sing the players praises and admonish themselves for daring to complain
