That's why I was saying earlier that once the fans do that it's all broken. Half the team played ok today and in the main it was Meslier's flap for the second goal which cost us. If that's what the fans want to do then fine but just understand it's not going to help the team or the club.
Speaking to LUTV Ayling said: "We've come down here with a chance to win the game and we play like that, it's just not good enough. We let in two sloppy goals in the first half and didn't give ourselves a chance. The fans travel all the way down here and they spend their money and we give that kind of performance, it's not good enough. The fans at the end booed us and they've got every right to." That's the bits I heard from Ayling.
Whilst I understand what you are saying Jammy, and not even saying I disagree. Taking the alternative viewpoint however, those that are able to attend matches, especially the away support, have provided tremendous support to the team ( I distinguish between the team and the board here) for the past two seasons, and that doesn't seem to have helped much either and I am impressed that it took almost 75 minutes of our 17th away game this season, before fans actually started to vocalise their abject displeasure at the team overall.
If you have Twitter just search Luke Ayling it’s everywhere, it looks like he could be saying it, I’m not 100% convinced but plenty are
I’ve got to say, if that’s the “evidence” why do our own try so hard to find fault? Ayling looked gutted to me and couldn’t find better words to try and lift a teammate no more, no less. Deep down, I also know why no one in their right minds wants to buy our fabulous club, we are poison to our selves sadly
Totally agree Aski but there's vocalising their displeasure and then there's the ' you're not fit to wear the shirt ' line which today was crossed. Granted not heard very often from Leeds fans but it shows exactly where were at, which is broken and going down whilst simultaneously imploding. Why can't we just be relegated with our dignity intact and some semblance of togetherness.
Mate, even those basquing in the glory of Rads failing will miss the irony of, wherever we finish this year, it will be higher than any of the 18 years before he arrived. Good luck battering your head and caring, I’m off to find my summer spark
Of course it was before the game. Everything changed during and after the covid restrictions and unfortunately a lot of the touchy feely stuff has yet to return. Not making excuses for the players it's just how it is these days and there has been a major shift on matchdays at home as well.
Can’t have it both way Jammy. We like to praise the best fans in England. Incredible support for last decades regardless of how bad we were at times. It’s the players that have now crossed the line and not only don’t give 100% but probably not even 50% for the club. They’ve no respect for the support except when it suits them. If we’re going down with no dignity it has nothing to do with the support but the so called players
Up until recently players were allowed ave photos with players. Saw some from after the Leicester game. No problem. So when did the rule change. Wednesday or thirsday
That is why we should have not got rid of Marcelo, He showed us humbleness and a beautiful style of football. If we got relegated last year I would have accepted it, at least we would of been loyal to him and the style he created. Now we are a clusterfuck of signings managers etc. Lemmings have more sense of direction than our club has now.
I’ve always picked my kids up in their lowest moments, I would feel like no more than a bully revelling in their problems.
How do you know what isn’t in player contracts? Cooper is our 2nd best CB and if we go down we’ll need him as I think Wober will be off, the rest ain’t good enough. Poor recruitment is the biggest issue though as technically Cooper isn’t good enough so pretty poor that he’s still our 2nd best after someone we bought in Jan, shocking.
