Did anyone else get the irony of the Sky pundits today, Sourness, Redknapp and Robbie Keane and Dalglish's daughter hosting , all we needed was Cilla and Ken Dodd to complete the neutral analysis
In their minds, as Keano, Souness and Redknapp played for us, it was a balanced panel Sort of like the episode of MOTD2 where they had Judas and Lee Dixon as pundits for a NLD...
I would love to agree on the Richarlison thing I would have been annoyed but because it’s him I just can’t bring myself to say it lol what I will say is Konate was incredibly stupid to put his arms anywhere near Richarlison in that manner I wouldn’t have been shocked if that had been given there will be others that get given like that
Sourness hates us and did everything to get away from the lane, Redknapp is still pissed for binning off Harry and Keane's boyhood club was pool and was gone at the drop of a hat
Those three ex-players all played for Spurs too. Souness clearly pro Liverpool, Keane pro Spurs and Redknapp on the fence. You forgot Stan Boardman
I did say in their minds Sort of like how, in their minds, their comments about Son's challenge definitely weren't going to get them a call form Ofcom in the morning
The defence is the issue. I agree a stronger midfield would help but they’d still not be good enough. There is just too many individual mistakes in them that even if they had support and had to defend less, I still think Spurs would concede goals. Gundogan would be a great signing, realistically he wouldn’t consider Spurs though.
The thing is a strong midfield can make a weak defence look strong Liverpool are a good example of this: when their midfield was an impenetrable barrier and you needed a cannon to beat Alisson none of their defence's weaknesses were exposed so random results like their 7-2 loss to Villa three years ago could be handwaved away as a momentary blip, but with their midfield's legs going at roughly the same time Alisson is finding himself with a lot more work to do and can't hard carry their defence like he used to as a result Obviously the defence has issues, partly with players having errors in them and partly because they're trying to pass out the back yet certain players aren't reliable enough with their passing and/or first touch to do that without risking giving the ball away - which has been exacerbated by Bentancur's injury as he was so good at relieving pressure with a simple dink or pass - but it does have to be said the early 90s Milan back line would probably start having the same issues our current defence does behind our leaky midfield That's why the belief that one or two new CBs would solve the issues held by a lot of r/coys users is misplaced, becuase without a DM who can give us more control in the middle it doesn't matter who we have at the back, because if we keep allowing them to have to do more work then the likelihood of a chance being created either by a mistake, bad luck or pure skill is only ever going to increase
If he doesn't lower his head by about 6 inches, then Jota kicks him in the throat. That's not better.
Writing like that suggests you think the poster you are replying to is illiterate. I don't agree with @vimhawk on this one but his posts are well argued so don't deserve to be put down in this way imho.
Also he is entitled to lower his head towards the ball without having to allow for a boot being in the way.

And on the subject of the Karate Kid... Tyler's 'martial arts' comment at Sons foul will quite probably get him sacked. And rightly so. As I said at the time, it was casual racism. He could have said 'rugby tackle'. He could even have compared to American Football - and even made a half decent joke about the games being played at the TH stadium. His only defence could possibly be his total misunderstanding of absolutely any martial art. It won't wash.
Top story on BBC football is Klopp playing the victim: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/65443810 ****ing unbelievable.
