    There's a certain irony that we were led to believe that Porro was the player we needed to make Conte's system click, when what he's really done is destroy Conte's system almost single-handed

    More than anything else, he's exposed Conte's assumption he could imprint his system on the players as utter madness, because without a Vidal/Matic holding midfield together his system doesn't work even before you add WBs that can't defend or CCBs whose passing isn't reliable enough for the role
