We shall see, with our present mindset I doubt we will compete to go up. We have been awful all season and the season before we were awful for the last 10 games or so……..something isn’t right at the club right now.
I'm honestly not too fussed if we got rid of all, and I do mean all of them mate. None of them are fit to wear the shirt and they are all tainted by the constant gutless capitulation shown this season. Start again with players next season who at least give 2 ****s I'll wave each and every one of them off
Which is why we need a proper manager next season. Which is why we need to hope Wilcox chooses him. Which is why we need to hope beyond hope that Wilcox isn't clueless.
I'm not having it that James Bree is so awful that he isn't a better RB than AMN, Lyanco, Djenepo or whoever else the f*ck Selles would rather play there. Absolute arrogance from Selles not playing him.
Lyanco did okay actually, once he'd worked Gordon out, but yeah, Selles' refusal to seemingly work with the two Jones signings is another madness. Still, it's nearly over.
The aircraft chartered for the Saints return flight is OY-CLY ATR 72 it is in a completely black paint scheme, appropriate for a hearse!
Also we started with a back 5 and Bree is literally a Right Wing Back, our only out and out one... and Selles plays our 4th choice CB in his position.
I do fear that your hope may be in vain. When you consider which person presumably appointed Wilcox...
I wonder how much a decent PR firm will cost SR in the summer? I can't imagine ST sales are going to be particularly good. Let's see how many smug statements are made that there isn't much difference between the Prem and the Championship when they see the clubs income next year. This is a true masterclass in how to not run a football club. I wonder if they realise just how big a task next year is.....
we played some absolute ****e football under Ralph, but I think SR should of sacked him AFTER they decided to spend a butt-load of money on transfers. Splashing cash and bringing in great players is fantastic but to then follow it it up with two of the worst managerial appointments in history. I don't know how these decisions were made by the board but my god does it demonstrate inexperience. I'm hoping the board has already started investing time and energy into finding us a real manager, not some looney toon from Luton followed by a panic appointment of our assistant manager after 1 single decent result.
Yeah don't get me wrong, I'm really liking Lyanco the last few games. I really want him to stay on next season. He's a good defender when he cuts out the nonsense, and he's the type of player we need in the dressing room. But it seems an absolute age since we've had a manager who respects full backs. Ralph thought he could put anyone at LB, Jones shoehorned at least one CB into a FB position every game, and now Selles plays f*cking AMN at RB. Blows my mind.
AMN always looks like hes just come straight out the freezer and is slowly defrosting by the way he plays, cant think of any other explanation.
We will struggle in the championship without huge changes at every level. That is not be being overly pessimistic. It’s a realistic assessment of this squad. There are no winners or leaders. There is no fight. No patterns of play or tactical nous. Sure there are some glimpses of talent, when the manager decides to play them. But it will not be anywhere near as easy as a few think. We are closer to Stoke than Burnley IMO.
It is very hard to tell. If we retain Alcaraz, Sulemana, Tella and Adams, that would be a very good attacking line up in the Championship under a reasonable manager. Central midfield will need to be totally rebuilt with JWP and Lavia off, I am not sure Diallo is good enough for the Championship. Our center backs again should be good enough with the right manager, Jos Hooiveld was once a Championship promotion quality CB. We are going to be stacked at Full Back. I feel like we need a new goalkeeper, but I doubt it will happen. I think so much of the problem this season has been squad bloat and lack of experience to play in the PL, plus 1 burned out manager followed by 2 frauds. Thats not to say it is easy however.
