Player of season With only 6 games to go who is your player of season? Earlier in season was very difficult to choose anyone in particular bar a couple but since January quite a few can claim it. Williams McDonald Jefferies Ehmer and Morris. Funny as all were here all season, that's not to say that the new players have also contributed massively. For me has to be .... 1 Morris. Was best player before January and been just as good since. 2 Williams. Was a bit patchy pre Galinson but been brilliant since 3 McDonald. Missed large chunk of season due to long injury but now fully fit really impacts the game. Earlier thought maybe Jefferies was my player of season but think he will win young player of season.
I won't deny I have some personal favourites, two of which are listed below.... 1. Morris nowt to do with being a favourite for me this guy, he has genuinely earned it. 2. MacDonald without a shadow of doubt my favourite player - I don't even care if he can't put in 90 mins, I'd just turn up to see him play 45. 3. Jefferies probably my second fav player, the game seems to gain a certain energy when he plays. I can't think of anyone that comes near my top three, that excites me. Ehmer would probably take fourth for me. I'm not a great fan of our strikers, but you all know what I'm like by now when it comes to strikers lol.
1. Morris - has made several crucial saves. 2. MacDonald - excellent work ethic. 3. Difficult choice ( among several contenders. )....... I shan't put anyone ahead of the rest - I don't think it would be fair - because each of them have been equally good for different aspects.
morris McDonald cant pick a third, but if the rest of the team played with the same spirit we would be champions
Patchy70 - Running a cracking sesaon long competition. Allwaysright - Cheering me up with some of his stories of woe. (almost as good as Victor Meldrew) brb - Own goals and gaffs are always amusing and good for others.
every little helps ! Today, Mrs. A and I went grocery shopping...Mrs. A was pleased to hear that Tesco has cut the cost of 4 pints of milk - by 10 pence...Tesco has made a song and dance with a Press announcement.... what a sauce ! (( although I expect that sauce will be more than 10 pence dearer than last week. )) - and I expect that Tesco has cut its' payment to their supplier by 12 pence or more ! Why doesn't Tesco ever announce (with trumpets blasting ), when they raise their prices by ridiculous proportions ?? A couple of recent examples ; Ham has gone up by around 50% in the last couple of months (( what, have the pigs gone on strike ? )) Eggs - this week we paid around 90% more than 7 days ago...when I saw the price increase, I couldn't help myself from uttering an expletive... It rhymes with ''clucking hell.''...............and I am sure that all of you can provide other examples of retail robbery. I have always said that there's only two things wrong with Tesco's catchphrase - the first and last letters are irrelevant !........ and when we were in the milk aisle, Mrs. A suddenly announced '' we don't need milk this week. '' NB - long before now, 99.99% of you will have 'switched off' my drivel....but, I pride myself with being diverse - and embrace woke - and am willing to cater for the 00.01% of you who are still reading -- I just hope that Resurgam is a transgender - otherwise I might feel as if I am wasting my time. edit - sorry - I meant to put this rubbish in the ARGRS thread.
Hard one to call as most of the squad deserved relegation pre-Christmas. Since the turn of the year, there has been some shining lights however. 1. Glenn Morris - To have had 14 clean sheets and counting for the season when we've been in a relegation scrap at 39 is quite something and that includes missing about 6 weeks with a dislocated shoulder. Think he deserves the award and a new deal for next season. 2. Shaun Williams - Started the season quite strongly and looked to have the quality of more time on the ball than anyone else. As the season went on, it proved apparent that him & O'Keefe alongside each other just simply did not work. Been put alongside better players like Dieng, Lapslie or Coleman since and he looks miles better since the turn of the year and has even found his scoring boots. Again has played himself into contention for another deal for next season. 3. Alex MacDonald - The man that never gives up. Most of the start of the season was left as a bit part player due to the recovery from his long injury but since he's found his way into the side, his creativity and commitment to the cause every game has been fantastic to see. Every successful team needs a workhorse like MacDonald and his dead ball/crossing ability over recent weeks has become invaluable as he tops our assists charts. Special mentions for Max Ehmer who has had a pretty solid season as a whole (even pre Christmas he wasn't often at fault despite playing alongside more inexperienced players in Baggott & Wright) and to Tom Nichols, for being the first player this season to actually get the Priestfield bums off their seats in the belief we may score some goals.
The first awards have come in from Gills independent supporters The winner is Glenn Morris Macdonald 2nd Ehmer 3rd Morris also wins away player Jefferies wins young.
Yup, no complaints about that. Just need MacDonald to sign on the dotted line now, and I'll be a very happy brb.
Morris is the player of season Macdonald 2nd Williams 3rd Well done to all 3. I got all 3 but had Williams ahead of Macdonald
