Can't help but feel a bit cheated by the ref for that free kick. Very 50/50 with Grant making a proper meal of it
I don't normally complain about refs but this ref has definitely been worth at least one goal for them.
Madley is a complete clown. 50-50 on the free kick, but what about the WBA player standing in an offside position in front of Gunn?
These last few matches have emphasised that without the guile and grit of the much-maligned McLean and Hanley, we are nowhere near a Premier League club.
If you had said last 5 fixtures win half & we go into the play offs I would have been extatic, capitulation personified.
If we start next season in the same way we've ended this, I think I may lose the will to watch them week in, week out. Truly dire stuff most of the time, yet other times they make it look so easy. Zero consistency other than being inconsistent
Their best player was the ref. Our first half was reasonably good, I felt. Then the ref makes that ridiculous decision right at the end of the half and instead of going in winning 1-0, we're drawing. Second half we were rubbish again, especially towards the end. Sticking on loads of attackers and lumping the ball forward will never work with our players. Nunez was truly woeful when he came on. At least this awful season is officially over now.
