We were in free fall. The odds were massively in favour of us being relegated and even now, without Reading's points deduction we wouldn't be out of it. The odds of us winning our last two away games, one of them against Burnley would have been astronomical. Every pundit and nearly every fan thought us being relegated was a massive possibility. It's easy to just keep saying the opposite to everyone else and looking clever when it happens against the odds. Really well done.
Honestly I was one of them I thought we would continue our free fall. I have said several times the only match we would win was Bristol City...and I hoped that would keep us up. But so pleased. Not happy with the method of play...but needs be...let's hope we adopt a different way best season
Now we just need Celtic to dump Judas mole features out of the cup tomorrow and it'll be a great weekend
Was thinking about the style of play when I saw the possession stat in the 1st half - and my instinctive view is the same as yours. My contrary thought, though, was that for the last four years (probably longer) we've played nice football but just been too soft a lot of the time. If we're being very generous to Ainsworth, maybe the plan is to start by making us hard to beat, and gradually build in the fancy stuff once we're actually solid at the back. Defences win championships and all that...
Won't it crown things off nicely tomorrow when Rangers lose to Celtic in the semi final of the Scottish Cup?
Ok fellow RRRs, great to see us win again (two in a row, who would have thought?), but really need some sleep. 3:30am in ol' Sydney town. Sooo good to sleep after that game, dare I say it, I'm Stoked! (Yeah I know. I won't give up my day job). Anyway, before I go just one more thing to say, .... WE ARE QPR!!!! please log in to view this image
Never in doubt........ cough, cough Well done lads, but feck me this sort of thing doesn't do the blood pressure any good and makes even more dependent on the wine o'clock time of day..... Time to start planning for next season, but first Up the R's...
QPR away win, QPR survival guaranteed, Sun is out and Reading all but relegated. If Carlsberg did Saturdays……..
