He certainly was and I'd go a bit further. Given no Rangers manager in the last 30 years has managed to avoid his team not showing up for Cup games a bit harsh to want him gone for that. Much as I think the Beeb is the subject f some unfair criticism there are two things where they seem to have it completely wrong: 1. The romance and importance of the FA Cup. It isn't either. It has been totally devalued as a competition. Even a giant killing these days really isn't hen yo can beat a Premier League side because it has fielded 11 youth or reserve players. 2 The obsession that people actually care about the Eurovision Song Contest. Wrong. Nobody gives a toss.
Would kill to see us even in a quarter-final. It’s pathetic I’ve been going for 29 years and haven’t seen one. I like a bit of Eurovision to be honest.
I like the FA Cup but can't stand the semis being held at Wembley. Following the teams through breakfast and the journey to the stadium was what people liked but they don't care what people want.
I can't wait to watch us beat up Stoke tomorrow and then chill for Bristol City knowing we're safe - and watch the teams below us squirm with last day nerves. Will it happen? We R QPR - of course it won't - but it's the hope that kills us Let's just match the Reading result and we're safe....
I'll take the first half of your comment Lofty. We'll stay up, but what then? Hopefully, GA will get some good signings for next season. BTW, we also need Blackpool to NOT win. Lions need to roar, ... for both our teams.
I see the Stoke website has this notice at the end of their match preview; 'PITCH INCURSIONS Supporters are being reminded of the dangers associated with entering the field of play at any time, and the sanctions that could result from such actions.'
So much depends on if the players show up or not. I'll be watching our game, but with half an eye on the Reading vs Wigan score.
Effort levels have been too notch against Norwich and Burnley. I'm hoping showing up is one thing Ainsworth will deliver.
Exactly the same tactics, kind of understand against Burnley even if we were very, very lucky. But Stoke are 16th FFS, we're paying them way too much respect. Gutted Armstrong is injured again, either our medical team are too over-cautious or as someone on Twitter suggested they're treating these injuries with Sudo cream.
