Well I won't be, unless they don't put in an "acceptable" effort. I believe we're quite away from the pitch anyway on the upper tier.
Some debuts tomorrow? I was in the antipodes at the time, so can't say that I remember - but didn't Kenny Jackett make his debut in a horrible trouncing at Sunderland when they were chasing promotion? Hope that's not an omen. https://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sport/23488370.wilder-now-ready-pitch-watfords-young-players/
Just as well our fans are in the top tier if that happens tomorrow. We got revenge a few years later though !
The trouble is these days if a youngster or two played and we'd lost badly they'd get called all sorts straight away and probably told they aren't good enough.
I may or may not be around for this one - just surprised the wife by agreeing to take her new mattress - and a bit of grocery - shopping. So we're off to the big city - well, Elgin. I could be tempted to leave her in Tesco's and nip next door to watch Elgin play Dumbarton - the former looking to avoid an impending drop into the Highland League and the latter chasing promotion to League 1. I think she'll rumble me though...
They were just all round better than us. Got up there for about 2pm and were kept on the coach til after kickoff. Eventually got in the ground at about twenty past three. It was still 0-0. John Ward had a goal disallowed at 4-0 I think. As if it mattered. Afterwards we were held behind so we sang EJTMA until about half past five just to keep the coppers and stewards behind too. We'd sung it most of the game so we were pretty hoarse by the end.
Are all the youngsters injured then? Getting the popcorn out for the Twitter reaction to Kabasele being captain!
