I reckon if he just explained to her he was drinking because he had to endure Dier and Richarlison, she’d probably understand.

Loans versus permanent deals are pretty neutral financially so it shouldn't make a difference to signings.
I would be happy with the coach wanting to sign a player who he had worked with before because that actually should give him an edge on performance assessment.

This is what watching Eric Dier does to a grown man.

    My sympathies, Ryan.

I’ve got a feeling the Spurs social media team thinks we won yesterday, going into overdrive today.

A draw really wasn’t a good result for us, lol.

Dermot Gallagher backs his mates, again:
    https://www.skysports.com/watch/vid...ictor-lindel246f-deserve-a-second-yellow-card

Just a blatant 2nd yellow. Nowhere near the ball, late and high. Kicks his ****ing knee, FFS.
Fred will mop it up, my arse.

    Those neck oils didn’t help.

Going to have to be good this weekend and do some DIY.

    Haha

It’s the only second time I’ve ever shouted at a player as I walked off in disgust.

The first was in the noughties at the Priestfield Stadium at this slightly tubby Gillingham footballer who was running and trying less than N’Dombele. I was just a kid though.

Shouted, ‘who ate all the pies’ and everyone heard it. I was ashamed afterwards.

In Poch's early days, we lost an FA cup game to Leicester, havinng been ahead with scarcely any time left. I went ****ing nuts...everyone within a 20m radius...and it included a couple of players, stopped to watch me lose it completely.

Afterwards, I felt refreshed and went for a few beers.

    **** 'em all.

Not to mention that in the first goal incident, the reason Richarlison is in that ' offside ' position, was because he was fouled and we should have had a penalty.

Not a hope he's scoring at Anfield. Even Kane or Son scoring there is a minor miracle.

I'm pretty confident he'll finish the season with zero domestic goals.

The tragic thing is with Richarlison was that it was so predictable. For anyone to claim Conte weren't backed when we spent £60m on him is a joke.

£60m ffs ... geezer is well overpriced at £30m

Being backed is more than just one player (even if it’s a dud like Richarlison)

I would class being backed as giving the manager the power to sell who they want as well as give them new signings.

Arteta and Klopp have been backed. I won’t count the managers of the likes of Utd, Chelsea, City and Newcastle as those clubs have unlimited funds.

We were both very vocal (I still am <laugh>) at our displeasure at his signing, not just because of the size of the fee for an average player but also his diving antics at Everton but what irks me more than those aspects is that he didn't even need to be £60m's worth of talent, we just needed him to provide an impact when called upon, if he'd had scored about 6-9 league goals from the bench in the league and bagged some in the cups I'd have said he was a successful enough signing... yet we're one game away from May and he's only scored in one game of football for us. We've actually managed to downgrade on Lucas and Bergwijn, though downgrading seems to be "our thing" over the last 4 or so years. Give me back Vinigoal or bring Llorente out of retirement any day of the week.

The bit of hope I have with Richarlison is that (for some reason) he has a fairly big reputation in football and I think if we were smart we'd cash in on him this summer as there'd likely be some interest in him.

Why on earth would you give the manager the power to sell who they want? He already has the power not to pick players and tell the DoF that he isn't going to. Whether uwanted players go out on loan or a sold is a purely financial decision.

    Richardson £60m
    Kuluchevski loan
    Bentencur loan
    Romero £36m
    Porro £40m
    Bissouma £30m
    Spence £20m
    Peresic free
    Forster free

Pretty decent for his 3 windows.

Quite so. In fact I half expected them to rule out the goal for Richarlison "interfering", and then not bother to check how he ended up on the ground in the goal in the first place.
