One growth area the cons do not seem to be keen on broadcasting too much..

    2010 61,000 food parcels distributed

    2022 1,900,000 food parcels distributed

:emoticon-0133-wait: what could be the reason for keeping quiet?

A number of years ago , an mp’s wife ( who wished to remain anonymous), said her husbands mp salary and pay rise were well justified because of all the early starts , late finishes, many hours worked and lack of family time. Seems he wouldn’t have had time for another job. Around that time , in Scotland a young lass aged 20/21 became an mp and was well lauded because she was also at university taking a degree. Which one do we believe about how much time you spend on mp duties ?

In Santa Ponsa, Palma. No bother getting in, no bother getting through immigration. The queue for the toilet on the plane was longer. I've had more hassle getting into the UK.

    Bloody Brexit, eh?

They’ve clocked you for when you fly back from Palma now. They will keep you waiting for a couple of days. You should know that’s our fault. Bloody Brexit. <laugh>

They gave me free sunscreen in honour of my arduous journey. I'm being treated like a Great Escaper.

I find it hard to fathom to be honest. They seem to write books, go on radio and tele, write newspaper articles. I have no doubt some are genuine hard working local MPs, but they are a minority nowadays. The lure of westminster and all that goes with is what people seem to be in it for.

It's a political appointment, therefore every government will appoint someone who suits them.

Will it be cronyism when the next Labour government appoints a BBC chairman? Because if you think it isn't, you're part of the problem.

They are, and no matter how well it starts, they all get caught in the end. Always. The inexorable moving of the line between acceptable and corruption means the next lot will end up being even worse.
