Disappointing results. Everton throwing in the towel just to stop us from getting top 4 even if it means they take a step closer to relegation Spurs equaliser though, United will still have a game in hand on us and have some easier fixtures so you’d imagine they’d get just enough.
Ideally needed an Everton win. That would have had Newcastle 6 ahead of us having played same games. They’re 9 ahead on same games united now 7 ahead with 1 game in hand. Still need them both to lose and draw a couple games
We are now ahead of spurs on gd. So a positive midweek. . Brighton can still come back as us but I think they are goosed now. 6th is ours if we do our jobs and 5th really ought to be. Utd are the only,club we can catch now imo
Realistically we need to win all our last games to even have an outside chance. It would put us on 71 with a superior goal difference leaving Man U needing 12 from their last 7 games. They ought to make that easily, tbh - but if they stutter to a couple of draws in the coming games (and we continue to win) their nerves might get a bit jangly. It's the hope that kills yer.
Best we can get is 5th due to the others having games in hand as well as more points. I know mathematically it is possible to get top 4 but can't see Utd and Newcastle dropping enough points.
Everton played well in the first half. But it’s us who are trying to take one of those top four slots. It’s a risky plan as we haven’t got the squad for CL. If us and you lot grab the two available places that would be nice.
you are going to declare 2billion in revenue all of a sudden and make the todd look like a pauper. Everton fans gave their prematch bit and the players gave a fiery start but once that settles down it is still win a set peice and hoof it at tarkowski. Everton are utterly boned.
