Praised Radz all the time for doing what he did, but the summer of 21 was when he lost the plot, l started losing the fans and decisions taken back then have resulted in probable relegation, butt of pundits jokes 2 seasons of record breaking goals conceded. Yes thanks for what he did but ….
Afternoon all, Radz will always have my gratitude for being the owner who effectively stopped the rot and got us back up. However, he let that success go to his head and has outstayed his welcome and usefulness. Time for the 49ers to step up. The club does need a reset starting at the top with new owners bringing in new philosophies, new sporting director and top manager whatever league we are in. The squad needs a reset. It is so unbalanced it is a joke. And while I'm suggesting changes I think one of the most important ones is a new goalkeeping coach. Abad has been at the club too long under various head coaches. In that time we have seen Meslier go backwards. Yes being in two relegation scraps behind a poor defence will not help but no one is coaching his personal mistakes out of him. The majority of us can see what he does wrong, why can't the person paid to make him better see them? He had the potential to be a top top goalkeeper and be Frances no1 for a long time but not if he carries on having the talent, skill and potential beaten out of him by Leeds United
Hemase is correct on the Abad situation. I posted something about him last year because he has never been a goalkeeper and fact is the shortest member of the coaching staff. He is an Orta appointment as both works together in Spain and at Boro. He was on the coaching staff at Elche but not for keeping until he helped out and ended up staying and specialising. How you specialise in something you can’t do reminds me of Lampard. We have had some great prospects for goal but almost all ended up leaving. Kamil Miazek our Polish keeper best penalty stopper in the clubs history fell out with Bielsa and released. Cooper Skerry a mouthy Ausie was a great prospect and outshouted Cresswell, gone, Elia Caprile sent out on loan and is wanted by a few top Seria A clubs so we will get lots of cash as part of th sell on clause., Donny Van Den Heuval, Klaessen. Remember it was Abad that arranged for Kiko to go to Elche on loan ….
One of the ladies Jan does showjumping with is married to Matt Holland (ex Ipswich & ROI midfielder). He is going to Portman Road on Saturday but is taking a taxi instead of driving because a home win would mean Promotion to the Championship and he plans on getting very drunk. I said to Jan, if we lose on Sunday and win Relegation back to the Championship I will probably do the same, the whole situation seems so much better now
I appreciate that relegation is not what we hoped for, but surely it isn't that bad, that you need to take a taxi to Ipswich
Seen Shaks and he is a fine figure of a man. Tall, well spoken, lives a healthy life but gets a bad press due to an addiction to Newky Broon and cider
Anyone care to predict where tonights points will go. I am hoping Newcastle turn it on as they capable but will Everton snatch a draw. Soton v Bournemouth is hard to choose. Home win and they are only 3 points behind us. Away win and seeing we play at Bournemouth on Sunday might see us in deep ****.
I'd go for a Bournemouth win. The further we keep away from the teams currently below us the better, and if Bournemouth do lose that will make them even more desperate for a win against us on Sunday
To add to the general air of doom and gloom around at the moment my son has reminded me that Sheff Utd sealed promotion last night. So not only could we be replaced as the only Yorkshire club in the prem, but they're managed by the bloke we sacked before Bielsa was brought in
The football gods will decide our fate as always. Everton v Newcastle @ 7-45pm Saints v Bournemouth @ 7-45pm Remember last season when Everton had a man sent off and still beat the Toon 1-0, well surely history cannot repeat itself tonight. We need Newcastle to put them to the sword and destroy their fragile confidence. I'll be watching to see if Dyche can get his team to pull off what would be a shock win but remember 100% commitment and effort is the mantra he works by so fully expect them to put in a major shift.
Listened to an interview yesterday where seemingly now in America they can extend your femur to add 3 inches to your height. Apparently very popular with main in their later years who get fed up with being called short
