Anyway, formation motherfucker: ---------------------------Pope--------------------- Trippier-----Botman-----Burn----Targett ----Longstaff-----Bruno----Willock------ -----Murphy------Wilson---Joelinton---- Im assuming Schar is out, otherwise he'd he in and Targett out. Keep rotating Isak and Wilson, let Wilson start this one, then swap him for Isak around 70 mins. With midfield playing well, and Murphy and Joelinton playing out their skins right now, we should rip right through their ****ty defence. Not having Schar may be a concern, but the fact we have the best defence in the league, and they are the lowest scorers, massively tilts things in our favour.
I ain't gonna post there, I hardly need to wind the them, it's an endless tirade of whiney bitching missable scousers, much more fun to laughing at them crying amongst themselves.
Laecelles played a bit of a blinder Vs Everton at home last season, unlucky OG, then got us right back in it with a thumping header that caused an OG for them, and after that we destroyed them. Also looked on form Vs City a few weeks ago. Laecelles would be up for a game like this and wanna stake his claim by being commanding against a ****e attack like Everton. Laecelles with Burn at LB? I guess, but I'd feel sorry for Targett...I can see him wanting to leave in the summer.
Yeah, it's actually the kind of game that might suit Lascelles more than Schar. Expect it will be very physical, given how Dyche likes to have them playing.
Agree I feel sorry for Target but can't see him leaving, even if he is second choice LB next season he'll get a decent amount of game. The squad will be hugely important next season and even fringe players will end up around 15-20 appearances. Look at City - 21 players could end up with over 20 apps this year basically two for each outfield position and Ederson in goal for most of the year.
At the risk of repeating myself - we've got Southampton on Sun and Arsenal the week after on 07th May ....
This will be a tough game and a big atmosphere. I can see someone getting sent off and others injured.
Remember guys we are not in a relegation battle unlike countless past seasons Enjoy watching our team and let the opposition worry about stopping us for a change 6 wins out of last 7 games !!!!
More faith needed - they have the worst scoring record in the league, we have the best defence and we're scoring for fun right now. This ain't a tough Everton side of old, they're second bottom cos they're dogshit.
What happens if Everton go down? They are already in trouble with FFP, they are in big BIG trouble, like "disappearing" trouble if they go down. No saleable assests in the squad, some will go to mid table teams but no-one bringing in £40-50m, DCL prob's their most valuable and if they go down he's worth £20-25m maybe £30m at the max. Maybe Onana at a similar top price? New stadium being built - they'll have contracts to fulfil there in the 10's of millions. Lots of players out of contract at the end of the year, Dacoure, Davies, Coleman, Mina, Coady's loans up, Vinigre loans up, Townsend - an entire back 4, 2 cms and a winger need replacing... plus 2 of their reserve keepers. Tough to fill those spaces on what would be a very limited budget in the Championship. That's without those who have relegation clauses in their contracts and those that jump ship... Tight on FFP as it is and already at an independent commission to assess the alleged breach at present, the loss of EPL money and TV revenue would be a huge problem for them. Protests - will the fans be buying as much tickets and merch? Don't think so, after the second relegation with Ashley I completely turned the tap off in terms of buying anything NUFC related until the takeover happened so understand if their fans do similar. The only way I can see them surviving relegation is selling £100m+ worth of player in the summer and then replacing all the outgoings on the exceptional cheap/free! Would require some generous loan players etc. and some older out of contract players going there for peanuts.
Tonight feels almost as big as the Spurs game. Win tonight and it's done, we'll beat Southampton and be 12 ahead of Liverpool before they kick off v Spurs.
He may be forced out the door but got a long term contract with no get out clause this year if I remember correctly - with their other keepers leaving on a free there's a good chance they will force him to stay but with his wages £100k+ pw you'd imagine they'll have to sell him but how much is someone going to pay for him? This is another issue for them - other clubs will smell blood in the water when going in for their players.
