No reports I have seen report Joe joining us, I loved the JB of times gone by but would he fit in and there are more important areas of play we need to fill, plus as has as been metioned , we can't afford his scale of pay.
Can’t see it, not that much of a drop, also his level is higher than us, probably would suit a top 6 team with p/p.
Hasn't he been playing in Italy somewhere? I don't think rehiring anybody is a great idea so perhaps it will just vanish into thin air.
Although he did score with his head, whilst the ball was on the ground, against “ the unwashed ones”, which was worth his transfer fee on its own.

If he wants to come home and we can afford his wage demands (after spending several years with Fulham), then he could be a really key signing. He always comes over as a sensible, educated, level headed bloke, he lives right, and it could be a master stroke. But as bcfcredandwhite says, it could all be paper talk.
