What i said is that it's a passionate fanbase and they'll be right up for it. what I've said is correct they'll be very loud and Newcastle have to shut them up early. Saw it last season and we lost.
The game was even last season and they just sneaked it with the last kick. Since then our team has got significantly better and their team has got far worse. They're miserable and depressed more than anything else, and the atmosphere at that stadium has never been all that, certainly absolutely nothing like SJP.
They are our bogey team mind. We always seem to struggle at their spot. We should on paper win. But I think it will be tough.
Only lost with the last kick last season, won their under Bruce a couple of seasons ago, and drew when we 2 goals in injury time the time before that, hardly a cursed ground. Anything can happen on the day, but I just think they're a really bad team, they've flirted with relegation so long, and I think their time is up, Leeds, Leicester and Bournemouth all look significantly better than them. Their team was bad last season, and they've lost Richalison, Gordon, Rondon and Moise Kean since then. And on top of that Maupay has been a disasater and Calvert-Lewin can't score for **** anymore. Odds strongly favour us here, Dyche has his work cut out to keep them up.
I agree Everton are a poor side but the fans are coming to support tonight for sure .. it's s huge game for them and it'll be difficult if we don't get a grip of them and shut then up early
I give you the example of Liverpool Vs Arsenal at Anfield; Arsenal 2-0 up and cruising crowd muted and subdued....then Xhaka makes an ass out of him squares up to another player and gets booked, Anfield is raging and Liverpool come flying back and game finishes level. Everton's home crowd isn't as good as Liverpool's, and I can't see them being that much of a benefit to the team. HOWEVER there are ways the crowd could be spurred on, which need to be avoided, ie starting Gordon would have the whole Everton crowd throwing abuse at him and create a huge hostile atmosphere for us, don't give Everton this opportunity. Just get at them on the front foot and dominate midfield, and any crowd encouragement will be quickly silenced.
Btw I put the wrong video in that post, that was just a compilation of Bamfords misses I meant to put in this one from last night, how the ****ing **** does Bamford manage this?????
Starting a new job next week but got a few days off, bored, so off to the grand old forum with me for a good laff...
Cheers man, maximum chillax for the next few days....which would be made even better by pushing the Blue ****e further towards relegation, getting anything from Arsenal on Sunday would just be a bonus.
It's the way he specifically adjusts his feet at the last second to make sure he hits it with his instep, literally voluntarily choosing the only foot position that would stop it going in the goal. Impressive.
