3rd at 50/1. We were getting very excited for a bit there, looked like Subset was going to win but just not the staying power for the front two but the place was easily secured and made a nice profit off of that one thankfully.
I think he cost Vital Island the race by getting him contesting from too far out. That could be my pocket talking though as VI was the last leg of my "easy money" treble.
I didn't think so but every one has a different point of view. Vital Island had beaten Subset by a near similar distance in a race before as well so the form looked to hold much the same. Subset needed Vital Island to under perform to win but he didn't, he just found one better on the day as well unfortunately. The winner was hammered through the day so he was likely going to get there regardless.
