I dont think is true mate. Might be wrong, but I think people have put 2 and 2 together and got 5. The system used is provided by an American software company and it is a system able to help with crisist mgt. They are called Everbridge I think. Other national governments use the same system and they will be on approved govt procurement frameworks.

Fujitsu were engaged in a consultancy capacity to advise. They too remain on govt procurement frameworks, despite what happened with the post office system. I think it might have been fujitsu who won the big police contract for a system too.

Infosys are not involved, from what I have read. Years ago they and Fujitsu partnered on a similar project somewhere else in the world and it appears, according to what I have read anyway, some bright sparks have assumed it will be the same here, but isnt.

Infosys is the company founded by Rishis wifes dad. It is a huge IT company. I have worked with them in the past and they are very good, not that that is relevant mind.

Just checked, it is happening right now. Into the hearings stage. Apparently ministers been told to handover whatsapp messages.

Also Cameron being called to give evidence. Must have a wide scope.

Boris got the boot? You wouldn't think so reading this thread.

    It's still June 2016 right?

I've read the tweet and apparently Infosys are struggling so this maybe a nice little earner to raise their profile and value.

    Stinks of corruption and nepotism

I doubted it when I heard the story tbh mate.

Sadly it's all too possible and, to many, acceptable.

It's become commonplace to accept corruption from our politicians.

And I'm sick of hearing about people 'resigning to clear my name'.

If they've done nothing wrong, why on earth why would they resign.

And how does resigning help them to clear their name ffs <laugh>

I can see why people believe it too mate. I wouldnt have been massively surprised if it was, sadly. I do though, in this instance, think it is what the great D Trump would call fake news. The problem is people will take twitter as fact. A reputable independant political fact checking website yesterday did a good article explaining Infosys were not involved. The problem in some quarters of society now people are so entrenched they want to believe every story.

I read some political research last night that said as a country, we have as much faith in our political system and the russian population do. Mind you, we are in good comany with the likes of France and the US it seems. Someone on here last week mentioned Norway. They are miles ahead in this research. Unfortunately change is unlikely as turkeys dont vote for christmas.

I'm sure there are people who believe Twitter or whatever but I doubt there are many. People build up general impressions without trusting in individual details. I was quite happy for Johnson to be PM as his promises sounded sincere and I thought he could bully his government into implementing them. Who wouldn't want forty new hospitals, better social services, thousands more police, etc ...

... sadly he was useless, divisive and corrupt.

But, as with Trump, he sees it all differently ... like he lives in a hall of mirrors.

I just hope this trend can be corrected and we don't end up with more Trumps and Boris's.

"Braverman says people coming to UK illegally have ‘values at odds with our country’ as MPs prepare to debate bill."

So what happened to diversity and immigrants, like her parents, enriching the country ...

... do all immigrants have to hold the same values as us all or just the same as Ms Braverman <doh>

Not sure I'm entirely on board with the furore over the Sudan response mind.

There seem to be an awful lot of people who've gone over there for decades and are now complaining that the SAS weren't at their door offering them a limousine to the airport as soon as the bullets started flying (something always likely in African countries, frankly).
