Nap Grands Crus, the pipes arnt stupid if the horse was a bit iffy with its jumping they certainly wouldnt be starting it off in this race. Also he won the haydock fixed brush hurdle without putting a foot wrong which gives me confidence he may adapt to fences. I think is best trip is 2.5 m anyway and he has bags of speed. Cue Card seems a horse without a trip in my opinion and has certainly shown me no evidence to suggest he is up for a fight, he may well be just a briddle horse.

Oh Crick is my nap of the day.

I absolutely love this horse, its won me masses at Cheltenham and I think he is getting back to his optimum conditions. He loves the course (3 from 7 isn't it?) and returning to this company should suit him ideally. I couldn't believe the price last night. He is even the one who fits into my sCRAP (tm Nass 2011) system!!

I think many could be overlooking Champion Court in the last, and whilst its not a race for me to be backing in, I do think he could make the principles work.

Finally, I just hope Garde Champetre wins again, once again a no bet race but he is another of my Cheltenham heroes!! Come on old boy!

Race 6 in about 10 minutes, at Moonee Valley in Melbourne. Whisper from Adelaide that Globalwarmnsceptic at about 8-1, is set to put in a big run.

Morning all... Well ive had a real busy morning and havnt looked at any cards yet, but looking at todays posting i dont need to... So many compelling reasons to back all of the horses quoted, especially as it seems most have looked at Cheltenham for their fun today...

By far the best forum for picks and selections... Keep it up chaps... <cheers>

Only looked at Cheltenham today as im a bit under pressure with work and all, but ive thrown my hat on a few that tempt me...

    Cheltenham...
1.10 - Bai Zhu, 9/1... Hendersons yard in fine fettle, so i take on his runner here... Especially with the a forementioned Mr N de Boinville on top... (Did we get to know his real name Oddy...???)

1.45 - Crack Away Jack, 7/2 and maybe a e/w on Imsingingtheblues, 12/1 - Though a horse runs in this thats one of my little favs in Rileyev, but i think its a bit of a step up in class for him here...

2.20 - Garde Champetre should win but i fancy the youngster in the race Theroadtocroker, 14/1...

2.55 - Steps To Freedom, 6/4... Just dont see it losing this...

3.30 - PSI, 12/1... He's just run into a bit of form recently on his last 2 outings, and no reason why he cant do well here...

4.05 - Cue Card, 6/4... Coin toss time and ive picked Cue Card... Though it will be a good race between the top 3 in the market...

Good luck to all who play today... <ok>

Just been having a look at 3 mile 7 at Cheltenham. Garde Champetre looks to have the wood on them, but at 13 years of age, I don't think I'd be taking odds on. Wish him all the best though.

1.10 Cheltenham - MASKED MAN 25/1 E.W - A race I am looking forward to watching but I can not trust many of the market leaders from a punting point of view and therefore I am going to take a chance on Masked Man. This lightly raced 8yo showed plenty of ability when in training with Alan King and although he has obviously had his problems if retaining his ability I fancy him to run a big race on his debut for Charlie Mann following a 545 day absence. He runs off a mark of 127 here and could be well treated. At the prices he is worth a small bet imo

I looked at him as a potential lay bet, but I thought it was too much a funny race to decide. In the end I just thought a smnall bet on Uncle Junior at 13/2 looks the sensible option.

1.25 Lingfield - LOST CITY 16/1 - I like the look of LOST CITY in this maiden at Lingfield. Richard Faheys 2yo was backed as if defeat was out of the question at the Curragh on soft ground in March (sent off 8-11). There were some decent horses in that race (Whip Rule, Tough As Nails). He clearly wasn't right that day judging by the absence and is surely capable of better than he showed that day. This is a class 5 maiden and if there were 8 runners I would be having a decent E.W bet, only the 7 though so small win.
