Well if plying 3 at the back then I’d assume it would be Gomez Konate vvd? So in that case you’d have vvd playing on the left of back 3?
All I said was that we are, in practice, often playing three at the back atm. Nowhere have I suggested that we adopt that formation officially. Atm, the nominal RB is wandering about in the middle half the time, so the others are getting pulled across to the right until someone manages to get back to help. I've already stated that I think the current set-up is disastrous, a better solution would be to have an actual RB. In fact, our best years recently have been with both FBs offering the creativity, with the midfield largely being solid and protecting the CBs. It's been phenomenally successful, and I'm at a loss to work out why we've changed it.
Well yes and Robertson and TAA would play wing backs still. That's what I thought Saint meant. Leaves us with one less body in there middle though so still has its problems.
Don’t think that solves our issue. If anything makes it worse. As you then only have 2 in CM in Hendo and fab and teams going to walk through that even more so than when we play a 3. Think whole point of having TAA tuck into middle gets him into game but also gives us 4 in there on the ball to outnumber them but also stops teams going through the middle in transition. Obviously leaves space out wide Thanet can exploit but less dangerous to have ball out there than running at our CB through middle of pitch
Yeah has its problems like I said. Better off seeing the season out and buying legs for the middle of the park.
