Levy ****s up Fans embrace **** up and begin to concoct elaborate plans as to how it can all actually work I'm still waiting for Poch's 5 year project to finish then we can start enjoying the silverware
I’ll be pretty disappointed if poch goes to Chelsea. I know there’s constantly a managerial merry go round, and players move clubs all the time, but this is one of those where on the face of it you’d think “no chance”. dont get me wrong, we sacked the bloke and he owes us nothing, but I thought chelsea would be one of a few clubs he’d never go to. if he’s successful there, levy’s gonna have to hope that who ever he appoints has a blinder with us. Otherwise it’s gonna be another nail in the coffin if poch does well at chelsea when we’ve supposedly not considered bringing him back. poch in chelsea gear….just sickening.
Who is going to want to come and be our manager? We sacked pochettino 3 months after he got us to a CL final. He also got us to a league cup final, a fifth place finish a 3rd, 2nd, 3rd and 4th place finish in his 5 seasons with us. We then sacked JM 6 days before a league cup final to distract from the boards ESL debacle. We then held a 13 comedy Benny Hill style chase for a manager who lasted just 12 weeks and then sacked a manager for doing what he is renowned for (falling out with everyone) and replaced him with mini me and have now killed mini me and put in a third manager in 29 days. Seriously...anyone who signs up to be our manager is looking for a payday or is insane. IMHO Mason will be the manager in August.
Does it even matter who we appoint? As far as I'm concerned, the last few managers have been destined to fail from the very beginning. It doesn't matter who you appoint if they're having to deal with half a squad who simply ain't got it...and a proportion of the others who don't have the skills or attitude to implement the coach's tactics...and a chairman whose only concern is to finish in the CL places, whilst running the club in a manner that hampers that outcome. Levy bought Spence this summer, knowing full well that Conte didn't want him. When Conte looked done, we spent a ****ing fortune on Porro. Now watch us appoint a manager who doesn't want wing backs. It's an insane asylum. We're burning money to no useful end.
Ryan Mason was getting very animated with Stellini on Saturday,as he has been with Conte. I hope that can at least make the players aware of their duty to the club, themselves and the fans in the stadium and watching around the world to entertain us all and put in the necessary effort required on Thursday. In return we must show support for the players ion the pitch and stop the unnecessary abuse ther and on social media
I'm sorry but Dier and Hojbjerg should be nowhere near that. It's an insult to Lloris and Kane as much as it is to the fans.
Agreed. I felt almost violated seeing the headline. Like something tore in the fabric of space time and I entered some weird parallel universe where Spurs have three managers in one season and Chelsea are about to appoint Poch. Oh, wait, that's reality. Reaction among Chelsea fans has been mixed, to say the least - and not necessarily because of his Spurs links. A lot of them are pondering over the exact same questions and concerns we have about him. Does he know how to handle a changing room full of egos? Does he have the nous to lead a team over the line and win a major trophy? Can he be trusted to build a team? Obviously in the latter he'll be a darn sight better than Papa Tedd, who resembles a nine-year old kid who has stolen his father's credit card, but will he be good enough? Unclear. Either way, it'll hurt like hell seeing him there especially if those unwashed heathens start singing songs about him. Put it this way: If he relegates them, he gets a statue outside the ground and a stand named after him.
I don’t think Mason will be permanent manager but I hope he does well in the remaining games and that we give him some good people to work with, likely those with experience of managing/ coaching/ playing for Spurs. 'Arry's already said multiple times he'd answer the phone to us and help out if asked. Not necessarily these in particular but get in people such as Davids, van der Vaart and Gallas, former players with leadership qualities who could both motivate yet also install a somewhat fear of failure into the players mindsets - we could do with them as players as it goes! Weirdly, for as much of a **** show as we are right now and make no mistake we are one of the laughing stocks of European football at this moment in time, I do believe there will be managers out there who'd still be keen on working here: There'll be the ones who want to be "the one" to bring a trophy to the club, an ego trip so to speak. Then ones who'll purely look at the club from an infrastructure perspective - nice stadium and great facilities is a head coaches' dream. Then those purely willing to come for the money, because let's face it, Spurs can pay a wage that probably 90% of Europe couldn't. I think it’ll either be Nagelsmann if Levy doesn't **** it up or one of Slot or Kompany. Why he never even approached Poch though is beyond my understanding, I reckon it’s partly pride related but now he's gonna be desperate to get the next choice right because with Poch on the verge of joining our second most hated rivals, fans are gonna be pissed he let that happen as he'd have 100% come back if offered the job.
Did somebody say Hojbjerg is talked about as future captain material, shouldn`t your captain be actually good enough to get in your team. Madness, he`s the first player I would upgrade after Sanchez & Tanganga.
From an outsiders point of view I will say how I see your situation (probably wrong and happy to be told that). Levy as many of you say/admit is major problem but from what I have seen Paratici has caused as much (if not more) damage in much less time. He was brought in as a dof and charged with matching squad with manager. From what I have seen he brought in very different managers each time you sacked one and a real mix of players to the extent that none of the managers could make a functional team out of them.
another nail? I wonder what will happen first? We run out of nails or the coffin runs out of space for new nails? please log in to view this image
also, maybe poch is taking this job as a “**** you Levy”. like CK says, it’s like some parallel universe at the moment. what next? Poch is in fact joining us, but this is revenge after the “Willian saga”? Nothing would surprise me these days. basket case of a club. Watford Hotspur.
This 100% Rafael van der Vaart on the squad which Spurs have assembled over the past four to five seasons: “The problem is that they [these particular group of players] think their better than they actually are.”
