Have to say like there is absolutely nothing special about these 2 teams. Nerves have definitely got to some of the players
I've lived through endless Sunderland relegation/promotion scenarios and the other games we need to go our way, usually don't. This time it's almost as if we're writing the script ourselves If Sheff Utd and Burnley win I'll actually laugh out loud.
Luton and Burnley still have a big say on who reaches the play-offs. They both play Blackburn. Technically, Luton can still catch Sheff Utd, whilst Burnley will still want to reach 100 points.
Shocking from the sky team again, player was slightly clipped? What a load of bollocks, it’s a massive cheating dive.
Blackpool are in better form than Millwall who just lost to bottom club Wigan ... ... it's a long way to go on a Friday night, I hope it's even longer going back
I'm starting to believe. Could you imagine though? 16 months after getting humped 6-0 by Bolton in L1 we were back in the PL? ****ing madness
It's crazy especially after we were warned about how good all the teams were and how many years it would take to go up. Then we lose half the team and the manager KLD must sit back wondering if he's in a dream.
I know its far too early to say but IF we did somehow manage to pull off a top 6 finish, i wonder how far Alese is away from being fit?
He's not had a mention since his injury - all they said was "season ending" so **** knows..... There was also talk that Embo might get back for the final weeks, but anyone coming back into the team now after 3-4 months off is a huge ask If we can get Ballard fit, then I'd go into the POs (if we get there) with optimism. Our front line is as good as anything in this league and Ballard would add solidity at the back
Alese was ruled out on the 10th March so he's been out a good while now and the playoffs are still a few weeks away. All we were told at the time was that its a Thigh injury. Im guessing its something similar to what Stewart did back in Sept, a small tear maybes? The timeframe from the 10th March through to the playoffs in May would be a reasonable length of time to be able to get over that kind of injury.
Im hoping its gone quiet to prevent any pressure on the lad and so us fans dont get our hopes us. Its probably more wishful thinking on my behalf though
Probably. Was listening to WMS pod this morning and Phil Smith from The Echo said that as far as he understands, Ballard is the only one of the injured players likely to be back this season
