It really is that simple.

 

I only listen to Humberside when out in the car.That is the only time the wife hears it. I remember the first time we were in it at a time Kofi was on. The wife had not a clue who he was so no preconceptions based on colour or anything else. After a while she said who is this, he is hopeless. Showing a complete ignorance twice in a short time of classics of the sixties in a discussion did not help him much. A good idea to do a bit of checking on stuff in your playlist.
To be fair Burnsy shows a lack of knowledge of music on his show at times.

I heard he was a young, new presenter (*not very good) who had been given a leg up over more experienced, seasoned, mature RH presenter who got the bullet. ie ticking a box in that context. The youth vote. The guy must be doing something right, or else he'd have been replaced. And he's probably a very decent bloke, though I've never met him, spoken to him or anything else.
(* thats what Ive heard.)
