Time is running out; there's 540 minutes of game time remaining this season, and with four losses from their last five outings, Javi Gracia's side need to find some form - quickly! The foxes have also been in a terrible run of form, until Saturday when they beat Wolves. Up until then, they had amassed just a single point from their last ten games, in all competitions. The minimum number of points needed to avoid the drop, since the introduction of the Premier League is 34, set by West Brom during their 04/05 campaign. Leeds are still five points shy of this minimum target with six to play. Long term absentees Stuart Dallas and Tyler Adams have already been ruled out for the season. Apart from that, Javi Gracia has no new injury concerns. Brenden Arronson, Marc Roca and Illan Meslier were all widely criticised after Leeds latest defeat at Craven Cottage, and could drop to the bench. Leicester City have somewhat of an injury (and illness) crisis, and could be without seven first team players. James Justin (calf), Jonny Evans (illness), Ricardo Pereira (thigh), Jamie Vardy (ankle), Ryan Bertrand (knee), Jannik Vestergaard (calf) and James Maddison (illness) are all expected to miss the trip to West Yorkshire. However, Harvey Barnes in due to return. The tricky winger has scored five times, from as many games against the Whites.
If Javi picks Aaronson and McKennie for this, he'll deserve any abuse he gets. A blind bloke on a flying horse can see they're useless.
I always hate saying a game is a must win when mathematically it isn’t, but this one really does feel that way. My last ounce of hope will vanish if we lose
I always want to support our players but I’m sorry, Aaronson is an embarrassment. He loses the ball almost every time he gets it, gets out muscled and then throws his arms up pleading with the referee for a foul (which invariably it isn’t). He is single handedly destroying our “dirty Leeds” nickname.
Massive 6 pointer although put simply we cannot, under any circumstances, lose this match. Whilst a draw is barely acceptable it stops the rot and keeps us out of the relegation places. Leicester are a decent team going forward but defensively they are nearly as vunerable as us. Somehow then we need to find the form from the opening 20 mins against Palace and keep it going until the match is won. Desperate times but other teams are desperate too so cool heads required.
Thought we were very clinical against Wolves at Molineux but in general play Wolves more than held their own. It was a good away performance from us to be fair. I just think we are too mentally fragile at the moment. It's haunted us for 4 or 5 years now.
How's your season going bud? Hopefully you have concentrated on the league since we smashed you out of the cup. Are you making a last minute dash for the play offs?
