A midlife crisis is experienced between the ages of 40 and 60. It was first identified by the psychologist Carl Jung and is an abnormal part of the maturing process. Most people will experience some form of emotional transition during that time of life. A transition that might cause them to take stock in where they are in life and make some needed adjustments to the way they live their life. Most seem to come through the process smoothly without making major life changes, but some find themselves stuck in a rut for years. Typical signs of a midlife crisis are plentiful, and include posting on internet forums everyday in an attempt to project the sufferers insecurities on others. Some victims have been know to delve into deranged pornography and self abuse, but this is quite rare and not all people are susceptible to these symptoms.
Its good to read the comments, it says a lot about our members, some who would normaly enjoy a bit of wind up show respect, others show the real them, see if you can spot who is what.
I feel a Spandex Bollocks song coming on........................."So true, funny how it seems"....................
I lost relatives in WW1 and 2, mainly mums uncles etc and for me when I hear the words '....and those involved in current conflicts' linking them to those who lost their lives in the WW's 1 and 2, I think it is disrespectful to the memory of those true heroes some disagree and that is fine, I personally feel the current conflicts should have a different symbol/memorial etc. Then I would be against things like poppy burning etc
Hjacked by politcians and the media these days I am afraid. Check out that chinless wonder Cameron gettng hmself in a lather about the Poppy on the England shirt. He wouldn't have been fit to lace the boots of any man who fought in the trenches or against the Japs and here he is letting on he gives a monkeys. It was his forefathers who quite happily sent young men to their deaths, still is really. Simon Cowell sports a Poppy that cost a few grand ffs. Linking it too Afghanistan/Iraq and Ireland is wrong. Many hundreds of thousands of Irishmen died in the two wars, something which is shat on by Britain linking it to soldiers who killed Irishmen in Ireland. True story bud.
dont let devi boy hear you say that he was beeling when I said giving ones life for ones country is the ultimate sacrifice apparently you have no idea
Burn Labour party rosettes if you want?, they decided to go into Iraq and Afghanistan . Not the squaddies
I personally havent burnt either and wouldnt tbh however I agree with those who say current squaddies should not be put into the 'hero' mix
Wise up, there is no conscription. Soldiers know the score when the sign up. I know for a lot of them it is a case of 'sign up or sign on' but the fact remains that these guys join the army of their own free will.
