I said earlier about sacking Stellini, but I don't actually see that making any difference with these players, though I do wonder if he might fall on his sword.
6-1 FT. Pathetic, shameful and stupid. The adulation being poured on Murder Inc. was ****ing annoying, too.
As a graph I posted a few days ago demonstrates on the basis of league position we have been indistinguishable from Man U, Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal over the past ten years. That's despite having much less income than two of those and only just having caught the other two so that all four have had more expensive squads than us and higher salary bills over the entire period. Despite that nearly every fan thinks we are underperforming and continually asks for change. That simply puts more pressure on coaches and players. And the inevitable result is what happened today. We've got an interim manager who didn't feel able to pick Sanchez because of his appalling treatment last week so we went with a weaker team and a weaker system and came badly undone.
IMHO fair to say a result like this has been coming down the line this season like a slow motion train crash. If it wasn't today, then it probably would have been against Man Utd or the Poool.
