Hugo subbed , no surprise but I cannot recall a goal keeper of ours subbed without injury , sky say it was injury, picking the ball out of the net ****s up your back without doubt
Porro/Davies as the FBs would certainly have made the backline more balanced, while also allowing the security of playing 3ATB when Porro bombs upfield Problem is the same can't be said for Emerson/Perisic as Perisic shouldn't play as a traditional FB - although Emerson/Udogie would be more likely to work going forward
They've employed top managers and recruited top players. I refer you back to my post re: Sevilla. Is their manager so much better than the ones we have had? Are their players so much better than ours?
Absolutely disgusted with Spurs right now. I've never missed a kick off it just shows how much I care about this team. Started watching at 38 mins in and we're 5 - 0 down. Why the f#ck have we persisted with Conte's clone when we had the possibility of top 4 ????? Supported Spurs since 87 seens some awful spurs teams but not like this. I'm ashamed.
Shame this could be how it ends for Hugo. As bad as he’s been for a couple of years now, been many more good times with him.
Ironically, a proper DM would put a lot of those calls to bed It's like how Robbo would regularly concede from 25+ yards when Zokora was our DM and it was somehow Robbo's fault and not the lack of anybody in the middle third closing down players who were shaping to tonk it into the top corner from 25+ yards Similar can be said for how a few Old606 posters wanted Michael Dawson binned off, again because Zokora was leaving our backline exposed - but when we had Palacios (or, later, Sandro or Parker) in front of him those calls vanished into thin air While it is clear that Hugo has been on the decline post-WC, and it does look like he used the last drops of top quality talent he had to get France into the final and can't quite get back up to those standards again, if our midfield didn't go missing on the reg the decline could be managed to a degree
