To add: This culture of mediocrity ultimately begins and ends at the fact that our chairman has presided over a steady decline in quality of football and league finishes for the past 5 years, yet is apparently immune to all consequences of this and is also apparently worthy of the highest wage in the PL.
5-0 HT. Absolutely shameful. Stupid decisions all season and they've lead to this. Porro and Perisic as fullbacks in a back four with a midfield three with no holding player? Just nonsense. Make a couple of changes at the break and hope we don't humiliate ourselves as badly in the 2nd half. Probably not going to happen, though.
If JUST STOP OIL are in the St James park area ,do us a favour and carry out some sort of intervention and I promise to cycle to work until the end of the season
At least they haven’t scored since Sanchez went on. God forbid what the fans will do if he’s at fault for a goal. what a shameful first 20 minutes.
They employ the managers and buy the players, the book stops with them and they are 100% to blame. They either have no idea how to run a successful football team or don`t want to, neither is a good thing. Levy deserves everything that is coming his way.
Truly one of the most incompetent halves of football I have ever watched. Newcastle haven't even played that well, they have been competent in possession and initially ruthless in front of goal. But nothing special, they can all **** off as far as I am concerned and really think that we won't win another game this season. Anyone who really believes that a Nagelsman will join this ****show they will be sadly mistaken, and anyone who thinks that Harry will hang around is also going to be disappointed. This is now rock bottom we may just about to scrape top 10 but the overhaul / project now is so big who is going to want to take it on.
Remind me, how many years have I been banging on about our lack of a proper DM? At least three, surely Obviously that one adjustment wouldn't dramatically change our nonformance given playing both Porro and Perisic as FBs in a back four is suicide (Porro/Davies, for example, is far better balanced) and the various player dozing off leading to goals is like a game of Whack A Mole, but I do find it bizarre that none of the ubermensch, Nuno, Conte or Paratici ever seem to have addressed that obvious flaw in our team even though they have all seen matches where our midfield gets overrun
Not the day to switch to a back 4. But if you do, then you need Emerson and Davies to play full back.
