I thought that at first, 60 years since my first game, and then wondered if the meant he was saying he had gone to games at Boothferry Park for 55 years 1947 to 2002.
Wasn't the best watch today, BUT some of our intricate passing in and around the area is lovely to watch and when it clicks, and it will, we'll be a handy team. Feeling good for next season, think acun and tan will have learnt re transfers, no surprise that our best signings were ones already in England, tho kudos on the traore signing, that kid is ****ing mint.
It was obviously brilliant work by Vaughan to release him, but that's now the third penalty Slater has won for us this season, it's worth acknowledging his continued impact on our goalscoring. He's been underrated at times this season, he should really be in the POTY conversation.
He's added end-product since Shota left. Credit to the way he's being coached as well as his own personal development.
He's playing well since moving back into a central role but I can't have him in the POTY contention as I think there were too many games when he played as the 10 or out wide where he was really quiet. He's really coming on though and I'm looking forward to seeing him next year too
I have to ask what they're basing that on, he certainly doesn't look like a £30m player, neither did Sarr and I know Liverpool chased him for ages for daft money. I mean compare that to Bowen when he played in the Championship, he looked a level above, but those two today were the epitome of "I can't be arsed".
So name the all sorts of benefits and surprise bonuses? cos in 50 odd years I’ve never not once had a surprise bonus, and committing my money for a full year is a bonus to the club more than it is to me, Acun has never said thank you to me, he did to the Turkey 200 of course, but to say we should be thankful to give our money up front to the club and be happy that others are getting big match day discounts, and in your words shut the **** up and be grateful, is a smack in the mouth to me, so I suggest you shut the **** up and stop making **** up because I feel I’m disregarded as a passholder of long-standing and fly by nights are more highly regarded. As I said earlier, next season when passes go up and the cheap tickets are no more, the 5000 will **** off and I will still go, pay my pass money and still feel the club care for us not a ****
What gives me hope for next season is the fact that we had a shocking start o the season, had a terrible season with injuries and had that terrible run of home form during the season yet we are still only nine points from a play off spot. (Three wins, nine points is not huge yet a number of clubs will be thinking the same) Yes we will have to do well in the transfer market and hopefully have a better injury free season but it does give you hope. Obviously other clubs will feel the same so the summer transfer window will be so important.
both of them have huge ability but i agree, and perhaps that's a caveat to why they won't play at the top, they certainly have the ability but this watford team does strike me as a team you'd struggle to get behind, they look like a team full of cant be arsed, unless the occasion arises
I'm surprised this conversation is still ongoing and this hasn't been said yet but, surely the obvious ongoing benefit we get for our loyalty is the reduced price we effectively pay for every game. No one gets a better deal than members in the long term.
End of season stuff. Low down on the entertaining chart, but the sunshine did help and a City win is always welcome. Can hardly believe the season is nearly over bar the shouting. Roll on 23/24...Reasons to be cheerful.
It seems the data protection act has stopped clubs saving fans details for any length of time, cos the club lost everyone’s details a few years ago, so we all started from scratch
I couldn't believe how poor Watford were today. From the first minute, they didn't really look bothered, the press was half-hearted and they lost pretty much every 2nd ball. That group of players have so much talent but so little application. I found Wilder's interactions with his players baffling too, he really hasn't come across well at all this season in either of his jobs
There were rumours of him coming here last season weren't there? Before he went to Boro. Bullet dodged perhaps
Malcom Ex - he really couldn't give a **** - if he could then he's doing a fantastic impression of not giving one
Average at best. They didn't seem to really care or want to get a sweat on ...TBH I don't think the manager merry-go-round has helped them a lot. I bet they wish they'd stuck with Rob Edwards, and not sacked him after a setback. Might be higher in the table.
He’s always been a bit of a passion-merchant has Wilder. When things aren’t going well for him, he has a tendency to chew out his own players to the media because he thinks it will be popular with fans if he calls a spade a spade and accuses his players of not fighting for the shirt. However, he needs to take responsibility for it as well. Watford are one of the most toxic clubs in the country, from top to bottom. A **** owner who changes managers more than his keks and who also bans anyone from Vicarage Road if they hold a banner that’s critical of him, too many individuals and mercenaries in the dressing room who think they’re above playing in the Championship and a completely disinterested fan base. I feel Watford and Norwich are going to struggle in the next few years both on and off the pitch. Sarr and Pedro will go in the summer imo. I don’t know why Newcastle are interested in the latter though. Saying that, they signed Gordon from Everton, another overrated player with a **** attitude.
